It’s true that Vitalik doesn’t care about the price of Ethereum, but he definitely cares about its supremacy in the smart contract world. What’s going to happen when Chainlink releases their main net and Ethereum hasn’t scaled yet? 14 tps is abysmal for the kind of traffic there’ll be.

So what’s going to happen? People who want to deploy smart contracts are going to have to use other networks taking market presence away from Ethereum. Once adapters for all these blockchains are made it’ll be game over.

Sharding. Basically people interested in running link nodes may be running ETH shards with only LINK on them. This was Sergey's question to Vitalik (what happens if any one erc20 gets really popular and gets a lot of usage) and moneyskelly started acting like a little faggot (classic vitalik).

Why do you think they haven't release mainnet? Making a jason parser doesnt take 1 year.
