>Maybe insiders think Bonds will pump
yea thats what i think too. combine this w the COT charts we were looking at, its long bonds. i think this lends more credence to my theory that EMs are gonna keep crumbling. after all, if youre a foreign regional/central bank, what do you do if your currency explodes? buy US treasuries and get paid out in USD coupons. seems obvious. but then why is the shortterm end of the curve getting so heavily shorted while the long end is about to flip long? especially if were looking at more rate hikes?

fucking confusing.
i stand by the idea that large specs are betting on an inversion. but w banks all delevd in the US, and already pissweak bond yields being their only hope (and now those yields might get stomped again), i just dont see where the fuck the large banks are gonna get their money from? how would they stay profitable? just burning all that cash on hand?
im confus

>>10924949
and if you lose on those particular contracts you sold, you have to pay out that exact amount. the fact that theyll hedge w contrary positions only further reinforces it as a closed system, as it shows a need for that money to come from somewhere, lest it comes from your own pocket. options are literally zero-sum. you can write contracts all you want, sure, but that means youre willing (or hedged) to pay the difference if things go awry.

so heres a point of discussion for an off day...

Considering SWIFT, nuclear power plant SIS's, OPMs top secret clearances have been hacked in recent times and rather easily at that, at what point does a nation state like RU, Iran, DPRK and China try to burrow into the stock markets main servers? I dont know how theyre set up network wise but surely theyre working on this. imagine a 50% drop day and even if the circuits go off at 20%, how much damage do you think it could do to the nations finances?

I think this is a real threat that should be looked at desu, a few market makers getting hacked could really do some shit me thinks.

this shit could rugpull EVERYTHING in a matter of weeks
so many of these corporations are (imo) fraudulently rated in terms of credit. a corporate yield blowout (literally ANY kind, big or small, of credit event) would crash the underlying stock, which would spill over into all the leveraged ETFs and funds betting its all fine rn. and then all that pain will cause people to go looking for the next corp thats got a faux good credit rating. this could spread like a virus and really crash shit, FAST.

"wait two years after a yield curve inversion" be damned. w the various lev and derivatives all plugged into themselves this could happen VERY quickly

yea exactly.
theres so many corporations out there that couldnt turn a profit even in the free money era. and now theyre up trading in absolutely preposterous ranges, and even w things tightening, they arent being placed under any scrutiny at all, it seems. the only major company i can think of that had a downgrade recently is TSLA, and everyone saw that coming anyways. but what happens next if this happens to say NFLX or FB or some other company w shit tons of debt thats being held up by massive waves of retail entering the market due to RH and other free/accessible apps?

i mean ive been saying this crash will come from corporate debt since basically the beginning of the year, but the magnitude and depth of the situation keeps running up and slapping m in the face whenever i look away for too long.

no im not saying that senpai. but any sort of downgrade (even "minor") would cause a yield blowout which would wreak havoc on the underlying stock. then its only a matter of how much leveraged/derivatives are hooked up to it at a given time, and we can see that this will cause some pain throughout the greater market. even on things that are fine.

it comes down to whether or not you buy the fact that S&P and moodys are rating things fairly. i DO NOT. and apparently neither does the SEC even, as they just fined moodys some paltry amount.
http://investadvocate.com.ng/2018/08/29/sec-charges-moodys-internal-controls-failures-ratings-symbols-deficiencies/
now this particular fine/investigation is part of the fallout from post-08, sure, but if theyre falsifying one rating in one sector, whos to say they arent doing the same exact shit in all other sectors as well? they obviously dont give a shit about paying this teeny-tiny little fine, and it stands to reason that theyll have been doing the same shit everywhere else. id wager that this is simply their policy and that a lot of these corporations whove been partying on free money arent good for it. this being realized would smash us HARD, theres no denying that

>Also, junk bonds yields historically are normal
the junk yields are whats got me spooked senpai
i think theyre yielding FAR too little compared to the liabilities they are attached to. this aprox 5% yield rn is a suckers yield and imo, massively mispriced. all it would take is for any type of credit downgrade on ANY of the big names and this scrutiny will then be put on the rest of em. and i dont think a fair share of these companies financials stand up to any sort of real scrutiny

so sure, why would the rating agencies do it? why not just keep lying like they have been? the answer: because now rates are rising. the proof has to be in the pudding, and if its not, theres no way they can retroactively make it seem like theyre good for it. and as rates continue to rise, it will become harder and harder to fake it, like they obviously have been. theres definitely going to be a breaking point if the FED keeps tightening, and again, i think thats the whole point of what the FED is doing rn.

theres some serious fat that needs to be trimmed if were going to ACTUALLY go golden bull. tons and tons of these big companies are in situations where theyve been able to roll debt into more debt and NEVER pay back principal. if they cant make money w historically/artificially low rates like the last decade, there is literally no way theyll be profitable in THIS environment.

i think the FED is gradually leading some of these corps off to the pasture, but a fair share of them are being led directly into the slaughterhouse as well. and theyre the big names too. the ones that RHers and other user friendly apps clientele have been pumping. someone had to hold the bags. this was the point of RH and the surge of commission free/user friendly apps. the timing is just too uncanny. they needed greater fools to dump into so that it could stay propped up long enough to get out

it absolutely IS if you factor in the pissweak yields everywhere else. its like the last stand for fixed income. it reads, to me, like a literal bribe: "oh cmon goyim, just buy the damned debt already". i already KNOW bigboy bond traders ditched bonds for the broader market and thats how we ended up in this predicament in the first place, w them backpedaling all year to try and get out.

>There is also nothing wrong with big companies taking on 150% debt or whatever. They will continue to take it on because its how they remain profitable
there is if their credit ratings are based on fraudulent analysis. were not in the endless summer of QE anymore senpai. they cant continue to lie all across the board. obviously bond traders have sniffed this out, hence why hi yields have been bearish since last december, but the overall market hasnt priced this in at ALL. its up past ATHs again. and for the reasons i stated above, w an endless supply of greater fools

the FED doesnt give a fuck about the market staying bullish. they care about the US economy staying afloat enough to keep the scam running. so theyll do it. and the only way thats gonna happen is if some of these "nothin to em" corporations pop. they need to get out of the way as THEYRE the reason were getting held back from our actual potential

Completely over i'm not so sure. Last November there was a sharp decline followed by a bounce. Some tickers set new ATH on that bounce. It could go either way depending how fast the retrace is and whether or not another major injection of cash like the Constellation brands thing happens with a second company.

Only thing i'm confident on is pretty well everything had a one day drop from top of current run, then set a lower high. RSIs mostly still overbought as of Friday close. Bearish as fug.

>>10927718
If you are investing with less than 25k, just do Robinhood and get your info somewhere else.

TD-ameritrade has a stellar platform called thinkorswim -- the fees are shit though, but you can do something like this:
>put 500 bucks in TD-ameritrade
>/all in/ HODL that 500 bucks on SPY
>put 20k in Robinhood
>due diligence with thinkorswim, but fire off your actual orders with Robinhood like a true /biz/raeli shitlord negro
Only disadvantage aside from poor DD info is RH doesn't offer certain things like specific bonds, DRIP, or most international stocks.

Otherwise, I think Interactive Brokers is way better than TD-ameritrade on fees while still offering almost all of the same tickers, and it also has a fair offering for DD info... but you can do the same negro shit as above w/ RH swapped out for IB

>RH -- no commissions, shit DD
>IB -- low commissions, decent DD, nice API
>TD-ameritrade -- pro shit

40 means wear pants if you only have a tshirt on, otherwise shorts and long sleeves is perfect
60 means pants will cause sweating throughout the day
80 menas you caqn maybe do something outside if you arnt in sunlight
100 means dont leave your house unless you want to die
hoodies arnt required unless there is snow falling (not snow on the ground, because there can be snow on the ground even if its 80 out)

when its 40F that means you can snowboard shirtless, perfect weather, as long as you dont go swimming outside (not including hottubs of course)
