That image is incorrect about how the first price anchoring started. It was between the futures on HitBTC (very small cap) and zero day on Bittrex. There were only about 1000 BCH available for trading because the fork was supported earliest days earlier there and exchanges were leery about allowing transfers. BCH dumped to about $8 when a few maximalists sold their BCH on principle. Then, in a diarrhea vortex, someone paid millions in trade fees to swirl the same thousand coins back and forth, generating over a billion dollars of trade volume on ~1000 coins. By the end of the day, BCH had clocked $1100 and was ready to retrace back to $200 where people were sort of anchored by the futures price and hype.
