Best counter argument is probably BTC network effect and Lightening Network.

Also, Nano has yet to get the mainstream exposure where its security and spam defense is tested.

Yeah but definitely one of the only handful of cryptos that will be around in the future.

First mover is all that bitcoin has. Nano doesn't even have that.

Nano has no business model.

Nano devs have very limited funds to burn through.

Nano is like litecoin but less tested and not on coinbase.

Masternode coins that utilize high capacity data contracts on their second layer are the next big thing. Nano can't do any of this. It's a one trick pony.

The weakest point is its young age. It hasn't gone yet through audits, battle-testing and rigorous proofs. It's yet to be seen if it's resilient as it's ought to be, and if it can remain so.
long steep learning curve for all. Wallets are hard, exchanges are struggling to get it right immediately, people are used to bitcoin and ether and this is different. Lot of new people face wallet issues not because there is anything wrong, but because the wallets and PoW are different from Bitcoin based coins.
Bitcoin is already accepted by mainstream merchants. ETH has metamask and toshi implementations that give it a big advantage. Nano has to start the race with a stone tied to its leg, kek

So what purpose does NANO serve? If I wanted to move value around I can do that using ETH or BTC.

BTC is widely accepted and ETH is required when interacting with smart contracts.

You nano moon boys are spamming Nano in the hopes people will keep buying. If I wanted to buy something for capital gain I look at blockchain solutions that are backed by real businesses.

Sorry but NANO can moon to $100 I wouldn't buy it as an investment.

There's quite a few reasons why NANO isn't at $0.00

1. In a crypto market, the price is determined by the amount of buyers versus sellers. In this particular market, the amount of buyers is not 0, therefore the price will be above 0.
2. In theory, over time the currency will gain more and more value, because not only are people going to use it regularly, but the buying pressure will increase over time as more tokens are taken off the market.
3. This is actually one of the few cryptocurrencies that will make you money in the long run. One day I will allow you to suck my right testicle for 0.002 NANO which will feed you for a month. Eat my ass bitch

after watching Jimmy Song and Colin yesterday, with the ((moderator)) constantly smiling when Jimmy was making his ridiculous points, i'm convinced ((they)) are behind or have infiltrated Bitcoin. When Jimmy said Bitcoin has value because it is expensive to produce and ((Rosenberg)) was nodding in agreement, my Marxism detector went off. When Colin quickly called Jimmy out on it, ((Rosenburg)) shut it down. NANO is the future and as a p2p currency coin it threatens ((their)) usury scam business model. Lightning Network is just more middlemen and it doesn't even work. That panel talk is worth the watch for anyone who is interested in the larger issues concerning control and money. BTC and Blockstream were exposed. NANO is the people's coin. God Bless Colin, Roy, Mica, Troy and the rest of the guys/gal on the team and God Bless America.
