Pretty much everyone for the next several months that's going to be in crypto is in crypto. The ICO era is over. We're in a long term bear market and the gates for institutional investment are probably closed for the immediate future.

The next year is almost guaranteed to be constrictive suffering. This thread is for considering a project that doesn't rely on "lol, look at this smart data scraping algorithm" and waiting in a little chair in a room for someone to walk in and start throwing money in the air for everyone to desperately grab at like monkeys.

In this thread we're going to talk about projects that that require decent, honest legwork to implement and operate. You're welcome to talk about any project with a physical presence and labor involved to implement, not just waiting to be spoonfed profits. I'm focused on the Skycoin platform and how building a new internet on Skywire is going to require hard real-world work if we want to carry the torch of higher concepts like free speech and privacy into the digital world, along with reaping massive benefits for our hard work.

My argument for Skycoin
>physical miners, hardware wallets and antennas
>anchored, real presence in this world
>actual effort required to connect across distances
>massive potential rewards via restructuring the internet service industry

Most of the real world and intellectual work here will be hinged on figuring out the most competitive way to connect cities, suburbs, and rural areas over wired and wireless connections.

It's not just about hard manual labor setting up antennas and laying cable, there's hard development work to be done as well. This entire ecosystem works on the harmony of hardware and software to create an entire platform around internet service.

Skywire is a meshnet that in later phases will circumvent the traditional internet and things like NSA spying.

It's important information because
1.It would show that the devs aren't completely incompetent and can keep track of basic things like how much money they are sending to people
2.Proper records would provide evidence that they are doing what they say, and not bullshitting or scamming.

But they are incompetent, and the are scammers.
