LINK has been a thought experiement to me. I know I'm already rich. I've known for a while. It's made me focus on what's really important and what things you can't put a price on.

The only reason you desire money is because you don't have it. Once you do, it's just one less problem on a whole big list of them. You don't even realize all the good things you have to be thankful for until you lose them. The way to get money is not to need it.

you need like $750,000 in a 5-7% ETF and then go chill in some cheap state or move to another country with low cost of living

I'm practically there myself, have about $400k invested, made $34,000 last year in dividends on top of my regular salary. Once I hit $700-900k invested I'll retire, should be well before I reach 40 years old.
