I'm getting there but don't know what I want to start as a business. The big thing is that many established companies move very slow in decision making so sometimes you get to execute an idea quickly and other times things are a massive standstill. That's the crappy party, where you can't just take the slow period and do something very off the wall because then you'd be stepping on another person's feet of the same rank or higher.

As someone who has seriously had a hard time keeping a job after highschool due to social anxiety, on and off neet over 8 years because of it, find a job you can handle socially until you get used to it and social interaction. I have had many customer service retail jobs that I end up getting too stressed and quit after a few months to neet and dread finding another job. I have been at my current job for almost two years now (wagecuck janitor early morning) and have developed some social skills like small talking and being a little more comfortable around people. It took almost a year but I can finally support myself and look people in the eyes. Focus on night jobs or something with minimal social interaction like janitorial. Also if it gets bad, focus on learning a skill you can do from home so you never end up broke(an anon suggested copyrighting or technical writing) I still have social anxiety issues but being exposed to other people has helped lessen it. Good luck anon o hope you make it.

Me too, I just can't handle any kind of customer service job or anything that pays minimum wage. Not even things like being a cook at IHOP or McDonald's. I'm kinda shy and too kind, so I was literally bullied and abused by the low IQ coworkers. I was just doing those jobs to make extra money while in college, but that was their life. The best they could ever hope for was to be promoted manager or something. A very awful atmosphere to work in.

Hey wagecucks, can you help me out?

I'm 25 y/o immigrant to US. High school education diploma, college dropout. I read a lot and do coursera/edx. Non-existent resume. Median wage in my shithole is ~$500 a month, which didn't motivate me to work, and no career options. I made more money by memeing on the internet and playing vidya tournaments. I'm smart, good looking, OK at social interactions. My main weakness I'd say is that I've given up on the world and my life a long long time ago. Shitholes do that to you sometimes.

US is a land of the free, so I think of trying to give my life another shot. There are various things that excite me: I'd love to work on Amazon's logistics and innovate. I'd love to work at a hedge fund and do detective work into different firms operations. In general, anything involved with building / improving business processes and creating sustainable, professional organizations (or appreciating someone else's magnificent work!).

Alternatively I should have enough money to start my own business / buy a franchise like AnytimeFitness.

What path would you take in my shoes? Does career absolutely require higher education? (I REFUSE to pay thousands of dollars and waste 4 years of my life for a piece of paper, that's instant red flag for me) Are Americans that prejudiced?

unfortunately the more people who fall for the GET A DEGREE OR LE BURGER FLIPPY meme the more it becomes a requirement as it's essentially equivalent to a high school diploma 30 years ago. consider lying about having a degree in something useless like english to get one of those jobs that require a bachelor's for no reason (did you know even hotel receptionists require a fucking degree now? lel) and reading some people's papers from said major so if anyone ever asks about it you can just spout some shit you memorized and bore the fuck out of them so they never ask again
do NOT try this with a serious job that actually has good reason to require the degree they're looking for because they probably background check.
