10703240 No.10703240 [Reply] [Original]

What's with the anti-bitmain trolling around here. Do you (non-trolls) think it's panic mode for them?
I've been saying hundreds of times on this board that this exact thing would happen.
Bitmain has 1MM BCH
Jihan has a personal stash of around 500,000 BCH
Roger has almost 2MM BCH
Jiang Zhuoer had 600,000 BCH in a single wallet until recently, only divided them into more wallets when people started pointing fingers. He has more than 1.5MM BCH overall
Calvin Ayre had 400,000 BCH at the end of last year, he has mined at least another 100,000
Haipo Yang has 1MM BCH
Emil Oldenburg has 1MM BCH
Then there's also Satoshi's coins
============================================
Fun fact - there's only been 8.5MM BCH coins that have ever been moved. Let's assume there's an insane number of BCH out of circulation in cold storage and make it 11MM BCH.
We still have 80-90% of the supply held by entities with 0 incentive to sell them. These coins will not appear on exchanges for probably half a decade.
There's no float in BCH, this is why the flippening is inevitable. Out of these 11MM coins more than 10MM are actually NOT in circulation, they're kept in cold storage. Add in Satoshi's coins and this low supply means that as little as $10MM could bump the price of BCH into the five figures.
With non-existent supply, even fabricated demand can skyrocket BCH's price into high 5-figures. Let alone real demand.

So yeah, blockstream trolls, don't diversify, go all-in BTC and troll, this is such a productive use of your time, kek...

>> No.10703288

Not having 1 bch per btc is stupid yep. But buying more than that is even worse. You just explained why BCH will probably fail. Your bullish post is actually very bearish.

I just explained why $20,000 per BCH is inevitable.
I'd like to see BCH's goals fulfilled, and whether it's BCH that fulfils them - I don't particularly care.
But whether it's BCH or something else, BCH is hitting that $20,000 mark

Smart man.
You've been brainwashed by trolls, but I'm glad that you can see through their "sell your BCH" bullshit.
People who're selling their BCH because blockstream trolls told them so are never meant to be rich, at best they are pathetic political pawns. Sorta like people who organize protests based on fake news.
Even if you have a different opinion on BCH scaling and demeanour, you'll do what's right in order to make some cash.
P.S. Buy slightly above 0.05, there's a chance that the rich people behind BCH will not allow it to drop that low as it may discourage previous buyers...

Calvin & CSW have hinted towards some use case that would fill 128MB blocks, but the latter has such a pathetic history of overpromising and underdelivering that I'd be sceptical, too.
Besides bigger blocks mean more expenses for Jihan, just before his IPO, no wonder he's opposed to 128MB blocks. He won't be a year from now if there's actually enough economic activity on the chain.

So that even in the event of a spam attack, the mempool can empty itself in 1-2 blocks tops. You raise blocksize WAY before the average block reaches the limit. 128MB is way too much for the time being, though, imho.
>>10705299
You faggots said the same about bitmain having 1MM before the actual numbers were made public. Jiang Zhuoer's address has been floating around here for ages, and Roger had 300,000 BTC in 2015 - where do you think most of it went?>>10705452
It's good to consider this as early as today, but Peter Rizun's experiment clearly shows that 1GB blocks might take a long time to propagate. 32MB is big enough so that it doesn't cripple the chain and it keeps miners safe from spam attacks. Give it a few more years so more miners can prepare for a fully unlimited version...

Blocksize doesn't prevent spam attacks though, due to eth type features its probably going to get easier to spam BCH than BTC using cryptokitties crap.

>> No.10705818

>>10705780
There is no such thing as spam.
A blocksize was only implemented because at that time, almost every miner accepted free transactions. Now, pretty much every miner charges at least 1sat/byte.

Paying customers, not spammers.
For example, a month ago someone uploaded Animal Farm to the blockchain. They paid to do that. On btc that would be considered an attack.

They are playing the long game.

I'm syncing my BTC wallet right now to swap 1 BTC for 12 BCH. I'm a little worried that BCH will start gaining on BTC before the sync completes.

The reason why I think BCH will beat BTC in the end is because of the people supporting Bitcoin Cash and all the things that is happening on that chain. Just recently for example the Bitbox stuff for devs on developer.bitcoin.com, it's already been downloaded 30 thousand times. And I think the MoneyButton is just about ready, the goal was August 20:th.

Meanwhile I don't really hear about anything happening on BTC. The BCH/BTC ratio right now just reflects the advantage in familiarity BTC has, I don't think it's going to last.
