Hello biz
I just bought some counterfeit £20 notes from the darknet markets. Can it really be this easy?! Free money?

It costs about £40 for £100 fake notes and £180 for £500 fake notes. Euros are even cheaper. I calculated it and if I wanted to make £2000 id have to make about 150 transactions and swap my fake 20s for real change. 150 is a lot. In a small town, surely the police would start looking into it?

I was thinking of walking around central London at lunch time and hitting all the McDonald’s while the staff are busy. Look the server in the eye and talk to them so they don’t look at the note.

How risky can this be? If I get caught I can just play dumb, surely?

Not sure what it’s like where you are, but in my part of the US many retailers have a policy of marking every $20 or larger bill with a pen to make sure it’s genuine. Sometimes they slip through, but with security cameras the counterfeiters get busted pretty quickly. The key is to pass them to individuals (preferably strangers) for items you can then resell for real cash. Hard to do that with large amounts.

You should rather be using 50$ notes than any other.
Go to places where you can buy stuff without getting you money checked.
Examples for this: Bar, Clubs, Ice cream trucks etc.
Give'em the high value notes and take the exchanged money. Now you have traded black money for clean washed cash.
Optimal Strat: Buy a cookie from a random guy in the street.
Give him the 50$. Spend a dollar in the cookie and get the legal 49$ in return. People like this never check your money.
Adopting this strategy will work 100% of the times
At last, there are rules that shall not be broken
>never buy stuff on you local target
>never repeat the places where you exchanged the money

So they'd just take the painting off and recolor it with the 20 dollar bill theme and resell it.
A huge 100bill scarcity came out of this, Colombians would buy a 100 bolivars bill for 200 bolivars if it was a Series A bill

Paper money has magnetic ink in it that machines use to verify its authenticity, you can try it out for yourself with a powerful neodymium magnet, money will lightly be attracted to it. The exact amount and location of the ink is a very closely guarded secret though, I've never found anyone even on the darkweb ever openly talking about just what exactly is the magnetic ink process the feds use on US dollars. The only counterfeits that could ever pass machines were the North Korean supernotes, and the norks sure as hell won't reveal their secrets either because they invested millions of dollars with the same actual machines the US government uses to print money.

But if you're just hoping to pass counterfeits by hand to another person, high quality notes will easily pass visual inspection. Even the 3d security ribbon on the new $100 bills are being faked now.

summer festivals, pubs, nightclubs, souvenir shops, street markets are the best options. Of course everything depends on the quality of the notes and your confidence.

Back in the Silkroad days me and a friend ordered 20x 20€ notes. Good quality watermarks and stripe the touch was comfy, we had a good summer in music festivals exchanging for beer.
It worked well and the winter did not stop us from order more.

Next year we opted for a different model since we had run out of spots to exchange. Bought from the same dutch guy 10.000€ for less than 1K€.

It's summer again and we decided to drove through Spain, our neighbor country, it took us nearly 15 days to exchange. Almost 8K total.

September ends and there was shit in the spanish news my friend is sending me prints were we could read something like "Spanish police on trail of Romanian international counterfeit organization " "Police investigates suspected romanian group for counterfeit notes spree"---- regarding the exactly same period and time.

We got scared but in the end was a good lul! shit hit the fan and gypsies took it for us!

pro-tips: don't carry all the counterfeit with you. don't ever go to a place you know they have a infra blue detector. don't go to places with cctv, dont park your car near the spot, use a cap and sun glasses in the day light.

it's not paper for starters. it's a mix of cotton and linen. That's why anyone who's handled money long enough can instantly tell a real bill from a fake one just from the feel. And you could theoretically just get a printing press and start making your own money too but it's going to look like shit in comparison to the real thing because it takes years just to make the engraving plate for it.

200€ does it even still exist?

500€ I ended up exchanging them at my bank and hell did they check those. I'm going to look into this shit. Make sure to not get too stupidly greedy, have some real money to pay just in case and don't take it to like the bank, hit the same places with fakes all the time... The thing is that the times I've been passed counterfeits unintentionally it hasn't been hard to get rid of them. Small notes are probably easier, if you have to pay £60 and you give them 2 real £20 notes and a fake one, most of the time nobody is going to even think about it.

The other serious problem is how you get sent the money. Customs can get suspicious, they check for shit like this and drugs so your home address may not be the best place.

>> No.10700205

>>10694629
Don't try to burn it quickly as that's really fucking suspect and much more likley to get you caught. Get the money and burn it over the course of a month or two with normal transactions mixed with real money, but not of the same type of bill so that they don't have anything to compare it too.

Also don't carry more than a bill or two at a time so if someone does call you out on it then you have plausible deniability and can say you won it in a bet or something reasonably shady but not high-sec prison worthy. Meanwhile keep any extra you have in a place where it can't be found, full stop.

Money laundering is an art. If you want my advice I would tell you to stay away from it because the chance that you'll get caught by being a sperg is high and the chance that you're buying into a honeypot is even higher still.

I bet it would be easy as fuck to use counterfeit money in Japan. It’s a cash based society here, I use the equivalent of 100 dollars bills for small $1-$2 purchase all the time and no one bats an eye. I’ve never had my money checked either.
I doubt there’s any counterfeiters actively making yen though. Plus if you ever got caught you would be fucked, I guess Japanese prison is pretty terrible.

It may look pretty but it doesn't feel right to the touch.

Also, you are all fucking idiots. The penalty for counterfeiting in the US is literally death. It's in the fucking constitution.

The feds must enjoy wasting their time then, because right now the biggest source of counterfeit money is coming from spic shitholes like Peru. VICE just did a documentary recently on it, there's millions of fake dollars being produced there nonstop.

whatever you do stick to a routine and DONT go to a different place or switch places every time, the counterfeit becomes a signature and its much easier for the feds to pin it to you. Being a new face in an area every time a counterfeit pops up is an immediate red flag.

Hardly anyone actually responded to my OP with much useful info so I'll tell you what I found out myself:

- Cashiers are legally required to retain any fake notes they receive. So you'll lose them and may get caught.
- Yes, you can play dumb. Just don't keep any extra counterfeits on your person or in your house. Keep them elsewhere.
- The music festival suggestion is the best idea. I loved the story about driving through Spain (>>10697868).

Wish me luck anons

Speaking of counterfeits, there's a new movie coming out on September 2018 by Chow Yun Fat about a counterfeiting gang creating supernotes. Looks really interesting since they actually went out of their way to buy real printing presses and making engraving plates to make it real, check it out.
