My name has been being passed around this real estate office that deals with mostly million +houses and the clients ALWAYS over pay me. Making $50 is a norm The other day i worked for 4 hours and got paid 180 profit. The smile on peoples face when I help them is amazing. Some people just don't have the time or the skill and alot of times they give me that look like "omg you just saved my life"

I started in a senior community and still to this day i still have work there, i go there and do work for them for free, I drive them around they take me to lunch, i help them grocery shopping it really is something i enjoy. Theres been a few times where i take them to hospitals to visit their friends, really is crazy. alot of the older guys see me as their son, i'll go stop by some of their houses just to say whats up and they love it.. really is fulfilling man, you should try it.

if you have a nightshift where you have plenty of time to "lurk" you should look into a job that deals with finding deals for big investors.. You will be searching through shells pinks and QBs.. if you have the time you should look into it.

Investors alot of time are looking for shell companies or sometimes looking for companies shells that aren't yet dead. They will get you a % of the sells... if you are interested in it i will ask some people i know how you would go about getting started to research these companies and hit me up sometimes and i'll give you the info..

sometimes it's best to sell everything you have. Go all in on cash. Once you go all in on cash step back and watch for a week or two. Approach it like you would when you first started but with better knowledge.

The market is like jump rope, if you get in a trade and you aren't jumping with the market (the rope) you are going to trip and fall. Don't chase after anything! you should get out of everything even if one of your holdings now take off... it doesn't matter!! the only thing that matters is your next trade but if you get in a trade with a clouded view thats no good... just telling you from experience.. cash out, take a step back, approach the market smarter and get on that grind.

because there is still a ways from expiry.
If the contract expired today, it would be worthless.

So if price is $12 today, the market might think a $15 price in November has a 30% chance, which means the Option is worth $1 or whatever.
But if november comes around and price is still $12, the contract is worthless.

The price you are paying is called a premium. The break even is the strike price subtracted from the premium. Yes you can sell your contracts. The profit is the premium you paid for the contract going up in value. You should check out this guide before you play with options.

so $15 is the price at which the premium you paid for the contract would be paid for.
you paid 30 cents for a $14.70 call contract, then when price hits $15 you broke even on expiry date

If price is $15.30 you made 30 cents profit and so forth

The whole world uses this thing called fiat currency and historically every single one of thousands has defaulted. the US dollar became a fiat currency in the 70s under nixon and became the petro dollar instead, even still today. But the social programs and debt the US gov owes is reaching levels where the money they collect in tax revenue cannot pay even the interest on the debt. That is like the singularity event that will destory the economy.

Newfag here. Does investing in stock work the way it does in my head? Can you hold onto shares for the long haul and do those shares end up paying you a little bit when the company ends up turning a profit? I wouldn't be interested in stock if it was a pump and dump routine. Too stressful.

I am pretty sure nobody is taking your money. Just don't buy shitty bankrupt companies, high debt companies.
You know what, don't buy companies. Just buy an ETF. ETF are bunch of companies gathered together and sold off as one share.
VOO, tracks the average of the top 500 companies.
XLK, tracks tech companies.
QQQ tracks the NASDAQ listed companies.

Pick choose, if you want safer returns. If you want to go more riskier, you pick individual companies. VZ (Verizon) is a good company for dividends and growth.

It's not similar to a bank at all.
To dumb it down - When you buy a 'stock' you're literally buying a 'share' of the equity. It's like if 4 friends each have a contract saying they own one quarter of a house and we all receive part of the profit from renting it, well what if I sell my quarter (my share) to someone else?
This other guy still gets my share of the rental profit and should my 3 friends sell the house, they will get 1/4 of the proceeds.
That's for illustrative purposes pretty much how stocks work.

You don't give money to the company itself (venture and private capital or funding 'startups' notwithstanding), you give it to the person/entity who previously owned a share. Most shares also theoretically give you a vote in shareholders meetings, although some companies have A/ B class shares which affect voting rights. That's where corporate raiders like Carl Ichan become very interesting because they will buy 15% of a company, but rally at least 36% of other shareholders to force the hand of management. But when you consider most public traded companies have millions and millions of shares it all gets really complicated.

When you deposit money in a bank they keep a record of how much money you gave them and then they take that cash and hand it over to others in the form of credit, in exchange they give you a portion of the interest accrued they earn on that credit. When you withdraw, deposit more or they give you the interest or charge a fee, they change the record accordingly. At least that's how I think it worked in the Medici days. Now days it's this 'securitization' shit and they can pretty much loan out the same money as many times as their risk managers feel is acceptable.

It's sounds like you should talk to a financial advisor anon. Many brokerages can literally act like a bank (debit card, etc). Your brokerage should be FDIC/SIPC insured; I do not recommend opening an account with them otherwise. SEC regulations & US Law are your protection as well. Majority shareholder approval for major changes. It is ultimately up to you, even with the assistance of a broker, to purchase stock in a company that suits your financial goals. You could purchase dividend stocks, you would see returns every earnings (should the company keep in line with prior performance). Dividend stocks tend to be pretty stable, not much price movement, but there is 0 guarantees that it won't crash or moon. Though, to be honest, it sounds like you are so risk averse that you should just buy US treasury bonds.
