If I apply for a credit card will they ask for my employment status or just my income? I have a high income but I am employed on a casual basis.

employment status means nothing when applying for a credit card, it's just your income and how good or bad your credit is. I have little old ladies getting accepted for my store's visa card cause they have a high income from family, kids, or whatever.

"proof" just means like... some bank statements or an old w2 or something
frankly it doesn't matter at all and as long as you get the card you're good, you can request a raise later
