Bernie actually in reality carries the water for the Fed and big banks.

After the 08 crash he co- sponsored and audit the Fed bill with Ron Paul....

Then bernie ended up signing onto Dodd-frank which is exactly what the big banks wanted!

And Ron Paul called him a "sellout" for that.

Also if bernie really cared about income inequality he would be supporting a return to a gold standard since the entire reason income inequality is a thing is because the fed prints fake money out of thin air destroying everyone's purchasing power.

Under a gold standard prices are cheap and life is good and there was no such thing as income inequality back then. Wasn't even an issue.

Fortunately for bernie he knows full well his supporters don't know wtf dodd frank is and he also knows that his supporters have no idea wtf sound money is and how not having it creates income inequality.

I kinda agree with most of what you say but your idealistic view of how things worked when there was a gold standard isn't really correct. If you look at the actual history, then yeah, the economy as a whole got justed in a delayed way after a boom with a lot of misallocation caused by insane new money creation, but poor people were still poor.

It would be nice if poor people and brainlets could simply save in money instead of having to purchase stocks though, and not have to get jedi mindcucked on real wage decreases. With a mildly deflationary currency, that could be a reality, as each shekel would be like an index stock on the productive output of the economy that uses it.

>> No.10515570

>>10515527
Poor people were poor but rich people were nowhere near as rich as they are today. If you looked at CEOs of top companies they only made perhaps 100x what their poorest employee made, nowadays with their multi million dollar bonuses the top dogs are making many thousands over what the poor are making. That's what they mean by income inequality

>After graduating from college, Sanders returned to New York City, where he initially worked at a variety of jobs, including Head Start teacher, psychiatric aide, and carpenter.[30] In 1968, Sanders moved to Vermont because he had been "captivated by rural life." After his arrival there he worked as a carpenter,[31] filmmaker, and writer[46] who created and sold "radical film strips" and other educational materials to schools.[47] He also wrote several articles for the alternative publication The Vermont Freeman.[48]

In 1964 min wage was $1.25 or 5 silver quarters. If you take those 5 silver quarters to a coin shop today you will get about $18 for them.

So a min wage worker in 1964 had the purchasing power of someone making 18$ today..... or twice the purchasing power of someone making min wage today.

In 1964 gold was 35$/oz so it took a min wage worker back then to purchase an ounce of gold after a week paycheck. Today min wage is 9$ and gold is 1300$.

So it takes a min wage worker today an entire month to purchase that Same ounce of gold a min wage worker could purchase after only a week 60 years ago

Tax rate on the highest bracket was some near 90% in case you wonder why things were so much nicer back then.
