this one is unironically the worst though. If you're into the scene you probably got wind of the fallout the story-release yesterday caused. They're currently in the process of alienating a major part of the playerbase. Not even starting to scratch on the fact that pretty much all gameplay parts they carry over from the last xpacs were unanimously hated on (AP grind, mission table, dailies).

It's going to do well on launch day, then dump down to never before seen player lows within 3 months. It will recover on classic launch though. That's wow's last huzzah.

I pre-ordered, but there's literally no hype at all. I don't care about it and will just play because it's new content, and reading the forums it seems most people feel the same. It's a shame and I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see myself playing the expansion beyond doing every dungeon once to see the content.
