How much are one of these actually worth? It seems like overpriced oil to me. How much ethereum does it take to actually run anything useful? Are normies or people actually going to pay to use this thing and what the fuck for? I am not going to call it a scam but why the fuck should I be interested in this?

I am being a fag and serious. Ive been in this space for a few years as a lurker and investor. I try to imagine what I would actually buy that would make my life better through ethereum. I just cant think of anything I want decentralized besides my money. I dont even buy coffee or shit because I think its overpriced. Da fuq are people going to buy on this network.

It's been three years and there has yet to be a useful dapp developed on the Ethereum network. Nothing but ICO's and pyramid schemes. In a hilarious twist of fate, the only thing of value to ever come out of Ethereum is the thing that will replace it - the EOS blockchain, which has already accomplished in two months things that Ethereum only dreams of doing (but never will because its design is rotten at the core).

Idk, ETH is generally my initial buy when I turn fiat into cyrpto. But I don't see its future. QTUM is a far more legitimate project. Lately I have been buying ETH on cainbase sending it to bianace and buying QTUM.

Ether is only useful for gas, 0xBTC will be the store of value on the network.

It'll still rocket in price after the next bitcoin bull, though.

According to the charts etherium ought to be going up soon. If it doesn't then it's time to switch back to bitcoin and abandon ether forever.

No one is going to care whwn that gas paid today becomes a fortune.

>> No.10457685

Okay so I'm new to crypto, haven't even invested anything into it yet, but when I read " One difference from actual energy market is that the the originator of the transaction sets the price of gas, to which the miner can or not accept, this causes an emergence of a market around gas" that literally tells me that I have to pay to use my own money. Which is basically retarded, and I'm retarded so I would know it when I see it, and most normie retards are going to read this and tell everyone that it's a stupid use of money.

Now I understand that smart boys might be than-kin, well you inflation and shit, so you are paying to use dat dere USD as well, but normies will not hear this. Nor will any major government. The moment any of the currencies actually become relevant in trade, the FEDs will step in and ruin it for everyone.

As of right now, ETH is a scam. I'm not saying you can't make money off of it, but it is a scam, and anyone who spends even an hour reading about it will tell you that.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention about that quote. Doesn't that also mean that individuals are competing and spending more to have their trades done first? Most people would rather just stand in line I think. This makes a great market for those that already have money, but difficult entry for the masses me thinks. just my retard speculation tho

does anyone know why this shit doesn't pump anymore when Bitcoin does? it used to follow it and pump even more.

was there some news i missed? is the next ETH update still happening this year?

It actually functions as money better than BTC because it doesn't have high fees and 4 transactions per second. I don't get why brainlets don't see it as a way to store money. Maybe since it doesn't have the word "coin" in it, it is hard for them to understand.
