Okay everyone so I've been working this strategy lately and I want to know what everyone thinks. So I sit at night looking at a dividend calendar to see what companies have an ex-div date the following day. Some people actually buy stock just to hit that date, collect a payment, and move on. This causes the stock price to fall slightly throughout the day.

So out of those companies I pick the ones that have decent volume and fairly priced options. I select a put with a good delta to capture most of the downward move and then sell it before the stock goes back up. This nets me a decent gain over a weeks time. Is there anything stopping me from continuing this? It's worked out well so far.

it'd be a bet on africa advancing and the usage of energy to increase
we can sustain ourselves on through existing industry and the rich of africa in the area

They have too few assets and while I could make a quick buck off of them, I wouldn't be able to make sustainable revenues.
