also
PROTIP: if yields blow out next week, buy a SHIT TON of longterm US treasuries (and i mean real bonds, so that you get paid in USD). dollar is likely gonna moon as things start crashing (and bonds might moon too), so getting paid the bond coupons in USD against your currency will likely be very profitable

take a look at their most recent 10-K, filed at the start of this year.

net loss of $150,000,000 in 2017. How long can they handle this loss for? Well, lets look at their net assets and liabilities (next post). We'd hope that they have at least $150,000,000 in cash (ideally) or net assets minus liabilities (worse case) to last just one more year. How much cash do they hold? How long will it last them?

Ok, they have $27,000,000 in cash, so they can only afford to continue operating for another quarter unless they do some financing. They can raise a lot of debt (bad), dilute a shit load (bad) or ....? Dunno but things arnt looking good.

Maybe they can liquidate some of their other non-cash assets? They do have $160M assets. They might have problems liquidating to raise new debt if they already have a lot of debt. How leveraged are they right now? Well, check their current liabilities. Fuck, another $160M of liabilities. So this company's net worth is essentially $0 and they blow through $150M per year. They're fucked, they need to raise cash NOW and any way they do it will be extremely painful.

Twitter will still be there in 20 years, and no competitor will ever win against it. The concept is already so simple and basic, you just can't do anything different and sufficiently innovative to go against it. And if a competitor comes with its solution, it have to be simple as well. Meaning, nothing Twitter couldn't copy in the minute. While still keeping its user base.

When twitter started 180 characters was fine because the internet couldn't support mass amounts of images/videos. These days everyone wants to share that content and they can on other platforms without all the other noise. Nobody needs a twitter and people are realizing it.

Okay everyone so I've been working this strategy lately and I want to know what everyone thinks. So I sit at night looking at a dividend calendar to see what companies have an ex-div date the following day. Some people actually buy stock just to hit that date, collect a payment, and move on. This causes the stock price to fall slightly throughout the day.

So out of those companies I pick the ones that have decent volume and fairly priced options. I select a put with a good delta to capture most of the downward move and then sell it before the stock goes back up. This nets me a decent gain over a weeks time. Is there anything stopping me from continuing this? It's worked out well so far.

it depends entirely on the corporation, their credit rating, their D/E ratio and a bunch of other shit.

if you dont understand corporate debt, you should look in the OP. theres a few khan academy links that have good vids on how that works

literally everyone who trades should understand how bonds/debt atleast works on a basic level. its very important to understand how to value companies, and almost EVERYONE just ignores em.

almost every single one of my major trading signals has come from watching the bond market these past few months. its astonishingly accurate

When it comes to market returns I would not target specifically 13% of the population. Especially as their assets are too low to maintain a sustainable income.

to add to this, i always find it funny when i hear /pol/acks talk about some grand conspirac to demoralize white men and pander everything towards women and minorities.

lol
its literally just because white people are more frugal on average. why the fuck would anyone pander to whitey?

>>10453456
i think ur mixing me up w that other guy kek

but not off the back of my hand, but i did used to have these stats because i would try to explain to /pol/ that its not a grand jewish conspiracy, but just because white people tend to be bigger cheapskates.

the argument is that blacks are much more likely to spend beyond their means, especially in the case of welfare recipients (tho we see this exact same type of behavior in white welfare recipients, so perhaps it has more to do w not having to "earn" the money which makes it easier to waste on cnsumables)

>> No.10453546

>>10453510
Indeed you are a different guy and I agree that there's no jewish conspiracy (Though it's fun to fall back on for some cheap laughs). However, if I was going to target a specific demographic, I would not target african Americans. They have too few assets and while I could make a quick buck off of them, I wouldn't be able to make sustainable revenues. While they might spend beyond their means, they are not a viable long term asset building target.
I'd happily go door to door selling them bonds in order to raise capital though.

well i suppose were gonna have to take into account the difference in student loan asset value (not spendable on regular goods), and just flat out borrowed money (maxed out credit cards and the like).

and also lets not forget that blacks are significantly less likely to have serious student loan debt due to them receiving more benefits on average. that makes it easier to spend what they DO have on goods

>>10453546
>if I was going to target a specific demographic, I would not target african Americans
im just saying, theres a reason they do it, and i can only imagine it has to do with the difference between how white people and black people spend/use their money
>I'd happily go door to door selling them bonds in order to raise capital though.
