I want to start selling stuff.

>what do I sell, what sells like hot cakes?
>where do I buy my merchandise from?
>do I drop ship or mail it to my house and send it out myself?
>how do I advise? Flyers? Social media? Paid ads?
>where do I sell my product? On ebay, or my own website I pay someone to make?

I WANT TO MAKE IT

Dropshipping is the most cost effective method to sell goods online. You'll need to get familiar with Facebook ads to succeed. Like any business, you have to put in work and research to be successful.

Father teach me. EBay or my own site? What about etsy? Is irl advertising like posters and flyers effective?

Flyers and irl advertising is outdated by about 20 years. I mainly do digital marketing for the brands I own. eBay only works if you are a Chinese supplier with razor thin margins. Etsy is for pussies who are afraid to scale. Start with shopify and go from there.

The only people that say it's dead are people who have failed to adapt. Back in 2015, you could have a shitty product and shitty ads and still make $100k. In 2018, as competition and tech evolves, you have to put in work. There is plenty of money to be made in ecom.
>>10392818
I don't look for products with low shelf-lives. Typically I find products that I can sell for a year or two without burning through the market too quickly. Don't sell fidget spinner type products. Money is good short-term, long-term you'll be always scrambling around searching for trends.

For those unaware, the quickest(and cheapest) model to sell online is dropshipping.
>shopify + oberlo
>no physical inventory
>can work with limited budgets
>no web dev needed
>can be up and running within a week

The only aspect you must keep in mind is the knowledge needed regarding advertiser platforms such as Facebook/Instagram Ads. Learning how the Facebook ads platform works will set you back thousands very quickly if you don't understand the data gathering process. If you're lazy and need quick cash, try out instagram influencers.

Ecom vs Affiliate mkt as a beginner?

>> No.10394264

>>10394185
Affiliate marketing is hard for several reasons. Many companies now don't offer cash payouts for affiliates like they did a few years ago. If you stumble upon a company that does, please let me know. Otherwise, have fun getting credits for Uber. Ecom is the best way to make relatively quick cash. The long-term ROI is much better assuming you can sell your brand later on if you need the money. With ecom, you are at the top of the pyramid. You call the money shots.

What about using other sites for platforms, such as Wix?
