When it comes to built-in oracles, I'm not sure why that would matter. Chainlink is middleware that can be used on any blockchain, all you have to do is write an adapter for it. Once again, it has a first mover's advantage, and if companies like SWIFT, Microsoft, IBM etc. start using it, I doubt they'll go through the hassle of switching to another provider, unless they somehow save substantial amount of money.

Once you put it on a node, it's there forevwer. But that's actuall a good thing because 1. YOu aren more link from staking and 2. those staked link are taken out of circulating supply.

The combined effect is that the LINK you earn from staking will be owrth much, much more because of staking is effectively burning your LINKs and earning more expensive ones (WE HOPE). Definitely a long term hold in that sense.
