Hey /biz, I got into crypto in December and I'm all in on LINK (25,000) which isn't bad for a poor student, I don't intend to miss this one, since I've been on /fit for 4 years and came to /biz and /pol from time to time, so I saw ETH shilled and did nothing then saw ANS shilled and did nothing, and even did a research in university about bitcoin and ethereum last year (March 2017) and told the professor at the end that there is still a lot of money to be made in those two, and still I didn't buy (every time I think about this I want to kms desu).
Though I'm starting to think about trading LINK <-> BTC <-> USDT to make my stack bigger, let's say I sell now and LINK goes back to 0.18$ and I buy back, then I'll have something like 34,000 linkies, I've never done this before, did something similar once but got justed pretty hard and decided that I'm not good at trading and stopped (sold some linkies and bought HOT at ATH and sold a little lower, which reduced my LINK stack from 16,000 to 13,000).
So I've been reading a little and saw this comment on reddit, can we have an educated discussion about if this guy is right and what are your opinions about where the market is heading?
I'm mostly looking for your opinions since I'm new to this than the average /biz investor and some of you are extremely intelligent.

Congrats, you figured out that timing the market is gambling. Do what this anon says >>10315814

But I don't have any more fiat to put in, and I heard that minimum to make it is 100,000.
Or am I just addicted to accumulating linkies by this point?

Afaik futures don't influence the price of BTC directly. When you long btc, you aren't actually buying any btc. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway until LINK actually has a mainnet launched or at least a fully featured testnet, I don't see it decoupling from BTC. Which means that LINK will follow BTC moves. Predict BTC right and you'll be doing pretty well since if BTC falls while you are tethered, then you'll get to buy more btc and LINK will have lower BTC price as well.

I'm quite comfortable with my 21k link stack since I'm in a cheap country so if link hits $10 I've pretty much made it in terms of financial freedom and I'm only 18 atm.

No-one knows how many you will need to make it, anon. 1000 EOY is a meme. It's possible in theory, way, way down the road. Will take a lot of time for the whole systems to convert to LINKs vision.
Buy what you feel comfortable with. I think a 10k stack should be your suicide insurance. Don't go into debt. Don't put your future at risk in case all of this stuff (blockchain tech) somehow against all odds turns to shit.

Brainlet here
If link launches its mainnet does that mean it moves away from erc20. Sort of like that pos EOS. Or does it still stays on ETH platform?

Ridiculous comment, 100,000 Link puts u well into top 500 wallets. If Link is what we believe it is if u hodl easily see it going to 50 usd per, a stack of 20k gets u $1mm $.

It was a joke, since linkies keep meeming the minimum amount needed.
The thing is, /biz really fucked me up, I used to be ok with wageslaving but now it's either make it or kms.
The wait will be long marines, but I hope I'll make it with iron hands.

I didn't go into debt, I considered it and talked to my bank but they refused to lend me 20,000 euros (I was going to put it all in on link at 0.87$), but then I started making websites all day and selling them and accumulating and failed my masters degree.
Though I plan to find a job and try and find cheap rent and try again next year.

I really see you as frens anons, I hope we all make it.

Made some 400 euros on req and ripple, bought in December and sold in January, but then I discovered Link and read the whitepaper and I'm 100% certain it's the real thing.
>and even did a research in university about bitcoin and ethereum last year (March 2017)
Been studying distributed systems for quite a while and played a little with Solidity, etc... Go shit somewhere else jeet.

It'll still be on ETH at first, so the node operators will be paid with link tokens on the eth network; but since it's blockchain agnostic, nothing is stopping them from building their own blockchain or porting it another network in the future if scalability becomes an issue, although I doubt that since node payments will be made once a week and no one cares how long you receive your linkies as long as you receive them.
