I've managed to cut it down to about $6-7 USD per day, but I think I can get it down more. Do you guys have any tips for cheap lunches that aren't boring as fuck? Rice and beans sounds miserable.

Current Plan:

>Breakfast
Oatmeal. Cheap, different flavors, comes out to about 50 cents for breakfast.

>Lunch
2-3 McChicken sandwiches, maybe a McDouble occasionally. About $3-4

>Dinner
Mac n Cheese. $1 , sometimes I don't even eat dinner because I'm a tubby fuck.

Also, I take 2 multi vitamins a day in order to ensure I get whatever I'm not getting from my malnourished diet.

Clearly I can't live like this forever, but I'm thinking I can last 2-3 years.

How can I get my lunch down to $1-2?

1 cup of pic related, 1tbsp sazón, and a $2 jar of spaghetti sauce can get you full for 3 or 4 meals, ultimately around $0.75. Replace spaghetti sauce with pinto/refried beans and add tortillas for poverty Mexican for just over $1 for 3 meals. You can do rice, sazón, and a couple tbsp of sesame oil for sub $0.20 meals. Replace oil for lime and cilantro for similar price. Add any seasonings or simmer sauce to water for cooking and rice will absorb it.

Cheap Jew here. You're doing it all wrong. Don't buy your food, *steal* your food.

> Ask your boss to go to lunch to discuss work or something - they will always pay
> Eat co-workers food from the lunchroom
> Steal sweetener packets and creamer and sell them on ebay
> Go out to dinner with groups of people and be in charge of collecting money from everyone - it's always short and they wont know who didn't contribute enough
> Find out about conventions and shit where there is free lunch and they don't check if you have a badge - those hosted at hotels can't always wall it off because they have other guests - others just don't check
> "Accidentally" take someone else's bag at restaurant with loosely attended lunch pickup
> Go to grocery stores and learn to double palm - pick up 2 expensive items put one in basket and one up sleeve then change your mind and put one back on the shelf
> My personal favorite - tupperware containers in a backpack that you take to the buffet - i have stuffed myself to near death and walked out with a 40lb backpack of food at a $15 buffet

Stop overcooking broccoli, goddamn that sucks. Overcooked broccoli will make you fart and has no vitamins. Undercooked itfights fucking cancer and gives you the full load of vitamins. Also splurge for some quality olive oil, it's very important for a good diet and you can use just a bit.

Potatoes. Cheap, fill you up pretty good. Don't eat french fries though, try putting them in an oven or make mashed potatoes.

Also XXL bags of pasta. For the sauce just buy tomato sauce, warm it up and put some spice in there like basil and oregano. My buddy used to live off this when he ran out of money and was waiting for his next paycheck.

> would it be cheaper to subsitute chicken breast for dark meat?

yes, but as a fair warning: most of the reason chicken breasts are more expensive than dark meats is because they take the bones and skin off for you. it's a very long process but if you're poor you'll save tons of money on chicken

>mushrooms take on the taste of any meat you add to your dishes

>Humans need to eat their vegetables. Not going to argue the why. You will get weaker over time by not doing it.
Or you could eat animals and their organs. Vitamin C is the only thing that comes to my mind when trying to come up with something you can't get from animal sources.

The opposite, however, cannot be said of vegetables. I mean, it's much more difficult to eat only vegetables and not be malnutritioned

In any case eating vegetables is a good idea because they are quite good for you.
