10135276 No.10135276[DELETED]  [Reply] [Original]

I just gave my parents around $40,000, have less than $5,000 in my bank account and have never been happier.

Once you have it, you really realize money isn't everything. I'm closer with my family, doing better in my studies, enjoying anime in free time, in better shape than ever, just today I ran a 5:21 mile which is 3 minutes faster than what I could do months ago.

What you want may be right in front of you, so don't chase money too much where it hurts you.

>> No.10135293

Brainlet. If you invested 40k into BCH you would unironically have $4 million by 2020. Get ur money back OP. Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Calvin Ayre, The 8btc mod (19hZx234vNtLazfx5J2bxHsiWEmeYE8a7k), Jiang Zhouer, the bitcoin.com cofounder, the Coinbase founder - all BILLIONAIRES who can complete the flippening with their own cash TODAY.
They're not doing so because they'd rather invest in BCH adoption. BCH adoption is skyrocketing while btc adoption is dropping.
In a few years both St Kitts and Antigua will use BCH as their main currency (Roger is working on St Kitts, Calvin is investing in Antigua more money than their GDP exclusively because of BCH adoption), Craig Wright will increase transaction counts by circumventing corrupt governments in Africa for money transfers (this one is not certain but very possible considering his funding), Roger is speaking to VIP-s every other day, including Japanese bank CEO-s, stock exchange owners, etc. Brian Armstrong will push BCH and shit on BTC subtly every chance he gets, bitcoin.com wallet is the most popular mobile wallet and it literally shits on BTC, propaganda/censorship effects are fading, Purse just added BCH meaning that normies can use it to get 20% discounts on amazon, Koreans love BCH and they seem to matter at least as much as Americans and significantly more than eurofags, miners are looking for ways to destroy BTC in the next few years otherwise their profits will crumble, LN is proving more and more of a failure every single day, Wright will patent-troll startups into moving into BCH, tipping on github is now possible with bch, smart contracts are coming in November, stress tests are a massive success, charities are popularizing BCH in struggling countries (Venezuela today, others will join in if trouble arises), Free Society project is progressing well, Circle is adding BCH next few weeks, Ayre who became a billionaire from gambling is going to create BCH-only online casinos

What? My University grades, internships, even my scholarships earned through HS are all things I've done on my own.

Crypto is not something you do on your own, you read about another party or decentralized entity, invest, and hope things go the way you imagine. Nothing beyond the amount you invest, when you buy, and when you sell are in your control.

In a rampant bull market, everyone will feel like a genius, making thousands on "good trades" when really you're just shooting darts at an enlarged board. The board is much smaller currently, so sure some of you are still hitting it, but that doesn't mean it's any more in your control.

I view giving money to your parents, when they don't need it, as flushing it down the toilet. When you could've saved this money, at worst, cut off a few years from working from retiring, at best, use it to start a business when you're knowledgeable enough in whichever field your career is. Those 40k in the bank wouldn't do anything to hurt you, and you've basically made an emotionally charged decision, which is an objectively wrong decision.

And that is the difference, you're thinking purely in money, and not from a relationship standpoint, or considering personal feelings. If this money means nothing to me, and only serves to better my family relationship, why would I not give it to them? Paper is not worth more than my relationship with them.

This is why I say money isn't everything.

>>10138597
What will you do with all this money is the point. You want it all so fast, and then what? Say you have a job for $500,000 a year, you could retire easily, and then what? Travel for some time, buy some nice things, but ultimately, all the people you wronged, the relationships you ruined, those things will linger forever in your mind, where that feeling of buying the luxurious car will be fleeting because of the method used to obtain it.

Without disclosing financials, my parents bought a very nice house after being married and working together for years, they have pictures of them, and you can see the happiness on their faces, do you think they would be happy if they got the house by abandoning their morals, manipulating others, etc?

You can have all this money, you still won't be happy. Why can't you understand that?

You get ze money for a higher place on ze social hierarchy ladder by flaunting ze wealth and buying more expensive houses, cars then planes, companies etc.

By buying higher up on ze social hierarchy ladder you get better/more pussy.

That's basically the nitty gritty of modern life, you don't have to like it, but Jordan Peterson gave the clearest black pill about human motives. And that SSRI popping blowhard actually think telling people this gives there lives a meaning and a purpose instead of utter despair.

Also, happiness is a finite resource, in a way that someone has or is living through a shitty low serotonin/dopamine experience so you actually know on a relative scale that what you're feeling is good and more prestige.

because they don't need it, and with money comes responsibility. I assume your parents are normies when it comes to money, so they know fuck all about it.

Money is a lot like food. Having money doesn't really change anything, but consuming it, by spending it beyond what you need, is a lot like overeating. You grow fat. Or with money, you get spoiled, and you'll want more and more, that's how greed is born. That's where you're mistaking greed and fiscal responsibility.
