Probably most of you did not notice the very strange happenings with BTC on the 21th a few days ago.

A) 21.06.2018 was the day of the summer solstice and BTC once again went to 6666.66 USD. Many of you saw this.

B) What you did not notice on the 21th was the appearance of a very strange block hash.

A block hash that could only appear if one of these factors were true:

- Someone has time-travel capability, can perform calculations into the deep distant future and then apply the results in our time

- Someone can use supernatural/psychic powers to influence computations

- Strong AI has emerged and initiated first contact

- SHA-256 is absolutely broken

- This was a absolute 0.0001% freak occurence and our actual reality is a holographic dream illusion

This being the result of quantum computing was already ruled out by diverse knowledgeable people.

-SHA256 is broken and has been broken many years ago
-block hashes are fucking random, every single hash has a low probability of being found

>> No.10013117

>>10013045
wait, the probabilty of it being a coincidence is only 0.0001%?

That's not even that low, it's 1 in a million.
There have been over 500k blocks mined.

Here I'll do the math for you.
529,007 blocks have been mined at this moment.
P(of that hash) ~ 0.0001% ~ 1/1000000
P(coincidence) = 1- (1 - P(hash))^529007
= 0.4108

So the probability of that hash showing up within the last 500k hashes is about 40%, what's the big deal.

whats so special about this hash? just a lot of zeros?

Genesis block.

And the hash power of the machine that mined it was absurdly high.

Then again someone managed to mine a block with a USB stick a few weeks ago

Time to learn the truth. Pic related. This is taken from an ancient ruin. The purpose of the ruin was to show different people all over the world and this was one of the carvings.

Either you are brain dead or the person operating the quantum computer is, which one seems more likely ?
