Popular brokers for stock trading:

Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

IQ is a hot air balloon.
The Chinese market is very emotional and manipulated.

I've got 30 grand cash ready to dump on the lows.
Meanwhile, my TLT puts are propelling my to a new /all time high/ each day at a rate of several percent per day.
The worst that can happen is the bond market randomly soars and I lose a few days gains, meanwhile this would actually be the result of a flight to safety which would tank the fuck out of equities.

Well, I'm all in TBP for the moment. Loaded up on the low volume dump. Probably will flip some of that if I can get a 5% bounce tomorrow (5% off the 0.66 low, not the 0.68 close).

I might try to play Green Thumb Industries (GTII on CSE) tomorrow. IPO's in this sector usually have a pump on their first listing day.

Sector remains in late bear market sine wave mode along a flat mean. Legalization bull run did not occur on the run up to senate pass. I suppose it could occur when the house of commons green stamps it in a week or two. Or perhaps there will be a run up to the official start of recreational sales in late August-mid September. Dunno. Still swing trading. Still don't trust any ticker to hold gains for shit.

Scotts Miracle Grow might break out shortly. It looks like it might. May earnings were really outstanding. I am hesitant to buy US stocks at this time as I take a nasty hit on the exchange with the current US/CAD forex pair.

id assume, so long as it doesnt get sold around there, it shouldnt be a problem. pretty sure the govt down there is cartel controlled (at the very least), so landing a nice fat official contract with the canadian govt to sell them pot must just be a win-win for everyone. think about it. this is fuckhuge news. i havent heard a peep about it from canadian or murrican news.

Looking further into it their recent acquisition seems smart (moviepass) though I've never heard of it before. Seems like it could grow, as it sounds like a netflix for physical movies... But again doesn't make any sense for them, as a DATA ANALYTICS COMPANY??? to own.

most recently they had a terrible idea to sell people movie passes to go to movies free for a whole month. problem is, their break even deal with those was something like 2 movies a month (which almost everyone who bought them went to more of. the opposite of gym memberships, really). i assume they were gonna try and sell the data on what movies they go to, but that also seems retarded as free movies means people will go just for the shit of it, and the data will be mostly noise.

they have a hell of a squeeze set up right now, but absolutely nothing going for them. its probably gonna go down to like 15cents or lower, QUICK. they also have no cash on hand (literally). they aint aquiring shit unless they get a big ass IOU from someone. they have NO debt, which is something, but id imagine a lot of that will be spent on keeping the lights on till they figure out their next retarded plan. then all they have to do is get redditors to buy it again

Actual operating costs keep rising. Things have changed a lot in 2 years. That’s why I specifically advocate for tertiary recovery companies, because they usually get contracted into fields that are considered “tapped out” by primary and secondary methods, so the operating costs aren’t as much of a factor. But yeah, they can’t afford to keep oil low with the simple fact that cost of doing business has gone up, not to mention all the trade agreements and lifted sanctions like someone else mentioned.

>First. Low prices don’t hurt the Saudi national oil company, Saudi Aramco, much. The world’s biggest oil company does not disclose its production costs, but estimates center around an average of $5-6 per barrel. In general, it appears to cost about $70 to produce a barrel of shale oil in the U..S. (Some U.S. fracking is profitable at $40 per barrel but some requires a price of $90 or more to break even.) Oil-sand-based production comes in at about $80-$90 a barrel, plus transport, which can be expensive. Saudi Aramco and other Gulf Cooperation Council oil companies make a lot of money with oil at $50 a barrel. Many other producers can’t turn a profit at that price

again the fact that KSA and ARAMCO are shifting most of the production to US shale (which isnt profitable till oil hits $90) tells all. why would the saudis go through all that effort to shift their only real export to US? they can no longer afford to produce it at low rates.

do you think theyd do an IPO of ARAMCO while oil is crashing? fuck no
do you have any idea how much money KSA spends on rent-a-commands to blow up houthis?
do you know how much money KSA wastes just to import basic necessities to their country?
or how much they spend on welfare for their citizens?
not to mention that "quiet" little coup that happened the end of last year.

these all cost money. a lot of it. combine that w the increased cost of production and the years of smaller companies barely keeping it together and/or going completely broke.
the oil market is very different from a few years ago
