Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

so i accidentally'd my whole settled cash today

but it gave me time to think about something. obviously, vol has calmed down a bit. for whatever reason it hasnt returned yet, but i was thinking of a non idiot way to short VIX.

basically, rather than getting on the leveraged rollercoaster that is UVXY, you buy up 100 lots of SVXY. when vol starts to pop (making the IV on the ETN pop) you sell covered calls against it. if it looks like were getting another volpocolypse, you can always get a protective put too. but failing that, it should be a relatively foolproof strat.

anyone see any logical flaws in this? obviously low return, but i mean thats kinda the drawback with these "safe" strats

>Bitcoin is a meme but the (((blockchain))) will actually be useful
im unironically one of these kikes

i think this iteration of crypto is doomed to die a fiery death. this iteration will NOT be the one that ends up replacing currencies. however, after BTC collapses and the alt/NEETpocolypse happens, there will be tons of people trying to use the tech for SOMETHING. and so a couple of years go by, blockchain becomes commonplace tech that everyone accepts. THATS when there will be a serious concentrated effort on making a stable currency thats backed by the tech.

as it stands now, a couple more spikes and horrendous dips, and ONE big crash will be all it will take to shatter an already stressed out market imo. at that point, the bankers will deliver the final blow and itll be like the IMF w gold.

but really, when in the history of any invention/idea ever, has the first iteration been the one that succeeds forever

Exactly.

First, it creates an immutable write-only database. Which can be done other ways much more efficiently.

Second, you can use it to perform transactions in which neither party trusts the other
This is rarely ever necessary.

However, the technology requires an incentive (currency pay-out) for keeping the show running. A consequence of this is that blockchain technology is really only applicable when used in a currency.

this is exactly why im just ignoring the calls i have on them.couldve flipped them a couple times now, but IV is a bitch even on the short term contracts so not for too terribly much. but i didnt buy em to flip, i bought the calls so that i wouldnt have to hold through this nightmare. when it moons i can exercise, put down 1k and buy 2000 of them and pretend i was there the whole time. i might even grab more calls if it dips down to where you guys are talking.

i know this batch of bulls is too weak. but the fuckers that have been watching from afar have been waiting for an opening. since its so hard to short right now, there wont be too many more shorts coming in. but if the bulls get swapped out for some fresh ones with more money (and probably more experience), then it still absolutely COULD squeeze way up there

It was definitely a smart move on his part to switch their business over to crypto, though. Also, he said he did it for tax purposes. Which may be true to some extent, but even if its a straight up lie, the entire crypto industry is shady; RIOT's the only company really doing honest work to expend their crypto empire. It's my "work" truck It has 315,000 miles on it.. The engine and tranny were rebuilt around 280,000 miles..

I don't have to change the oil for two reasons..
1. it's rebuilt and burns oil through the piston rings
2. it has a small leak on the rear seal and don't feel like dropping the tranny to fix it.

Knew an old timer that drove a stick shift ranger that lasted for fucking ever, he would just add oil to it and change the filter every once in awhile.. why change the oil when you are pissing it out everywhere??

Also don't need a car, my girlfriend drives a prius for work and i drive a ford ranger for work.. our common car that we don't get dirty and drive places like to get stuff to eat or to events is a lexus ct200h so i'm really not concerned about my oil leak to my piece of shit work truck.

Tech has a massive problem right now : there has been tremendous invests in fab capacity in the last few years but the market is coming to the end of a cycle it was heavily build on (smartphone sales are crumbling). Neither AI (=Big Data) nor IoT needs the tremendous capacities fabs have now. The biggest prospective market right now is automotive, something that not all fabs can do.
On the other hand, NVIDIA and AMD are fabless, they don't have factories to care about. But there might be a market slowdown there too.

tl;dr, huge costly factories but fewer potential customers

This.
There's so much schmoozing and interplay between their biggest companies and the government -- the biggest companies CANNOT possibly fail because the chink government will keep them propped up. Plus, those companies provide extra resources for the government to spy on their own citizens.

Their companies only exist to fill in the void left by their staunch dislike for using foreign goods, and so, they get all their shitty chink knock offs of shit like Amazon, Facebook, Google with Baidu, Alibaba, and WeChat.

It's such shit.

Thanks AMAT. Strategy as of late is, short before earnings, if the company beats, they'll tank. If they don't beat, they'll tank even harder.

How many is it? It's still such an insignificant number compared to China's population. Also immigrants get no citizenship so they can and will get rid of them if they want.

Unlike USA with huge friction to getting rid of illegals it's just a decision away from happening in China.

This is the trap in analysing globally. The key is local strongholds.

The reality in Guangzhou is that niggers have already establised a strong core of population and their own neighborhoods.
It is effectively a colony. Think of it as a spearhead during an invasion.
Whenever there is some problem, niggers can find refuge and hideout within those communities.

This is the same phenomenon in European mudslime ghettos. This is literally Von Clausevitz and Jomini military theory shit.

The only solution is to massively and indiscriminately deport people. Who will have time to check the background of each migrants ? My guess is you won't see that happening anywhere, not even in China.

It's 10,000 people.

Since 2014 the African population has significantly declined, dropping to 10,344 residents by February 2017

China could harvest their organs in about a week if they decide they want to.

they prop themselves up in whatever way they can
i know they HATE blacks, so they definitely wouldnt mind lying to make it seem that theyve "dealt with the problem". they do the same things when you look at all the stats on their real estate bubble, economic stats etc...

well there are some new mines opening up near the permian. they will really help the shortages, so if the company your holding isn't the one who owns those mines they will be effected.
