The real reason why NEETs and retards need to say this it's because they feel better with themselves assuming they are gambling with their money rather than putting some real effort into this

All the markets are manipulated one way or another, TA is not about predictions, but probabilities

I agree with you. But I would say that TA is more about capturing the meat of the movement rather than catching the top/bottom. But of course that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to get as close as possible to tops/bottoms.

Here's my TA:
- if it breaks out above $8320, it goes up to $8380 at least

Watch it.

>> No.9464533

I thought TA was a meme as well, but then I started putting some research into it, just the simple stuff wedges, moving averages, patterns, volume etc. Then some anon explained how whales use TA to manipulate the market like basically they are painting the charts how they want them.

I saw AMB break down the MAs and thought I should sell since it has gone down in the past when it broke the MAs, but I didn't since I was holding for long term and it unironically went down in a course of a week. Then there's VENs uptrend memelines which are doing doing well.

Basically dont ignore TA and just start getting a feeling for the market. If it breaks the big pump(not parabolic) trend like EOS, TRX, AMB, then expect a bigger correction over a course of a week, not just a couple of days.

>> No.9464559

This man gets it.
Volume + price
A up or down trend should be followed by the corresponding volume.
If price is making a higher higher but the volume is weak the trend will be weak. Only volume gives the trend it's conviction or merit.

Volume at price
Volume at time

I do use RSI to spot divergences in momentum.
But volume and price divergence is 100% solid.

It's totally logical but brainlets can't think logically.
A increase in buying volume = demand
If demand decreases - price will likely fall to attract new buyers (fresh volume)

Win -> Good trade
Lose -> Bad trade

NEET
Win and stick to process -> Good shit
Win and don't stick to process -> Just luck
Lose and stick to process -> Next time
Lose and don't stick to process -> What I deserved

It is gambling, with a process. TA can be part of the whole thing but people focus on it too much, overtrade because they need to find a trade every time they look at a chart and fuck themselves. There's a need to do nothing when there's nothing to do, to admit when you fuck up, to find optimistism after a drawdown. This is the most demanding thing I've done in my life and then everyone has super high expectations about what they're going to achieve in some months.

I bet you most crypto charters don't even have the discipline to go back and assess how much the "obvious manipulations" skewed their probabilities.

This is basically trying to card count in blackjack without knowing how many decks the card dealer is playing with. The degree of error can become significant to the point where you were no better off going "in blind".

You're charting flawed probabilities and you don't even quantify the degree of error caused by significant, daily manipulations. That's all there is to it.

>> No.9465918

I agree and nice obvious catch. I use TA on very short time frames and it works but them large moves in both directions happen in a second and you're done. Still, all the bots on binance use 1m candles and you can see it play out like textbook all the time but no maki g money in moves like this. Also in bear markets stuff as simple as boll and rsi tell me when to sell into a pump. In general though I'd say it's best to hold large caps and best to trade small caps on events and normie sentiment rather than TA.

Yes, we use "TA" but it has nothing to do with what you see on the charts on any interval of 1 minute or 5 or 15 or hourly/daily etc. We pull the order book continuously and price change is continuously variable, furthermore, we make decisions on level 2 which often isn't reflected in the last price but is just the amalgamation of unfilled orders sitting on the books next to the market price.
