This.

Holy shit do yourself a favor and don’t rely on getting spoonfed what will most likely be biased information by anyone on here.

How hard is it to go to request.network and read their site and whitepaper?

The price will go up because the token is auto bought and removed from the supply to pay for network fees with each transaction, essentially creating “passive” buy pressure due to people using it without even knowing what the token is.

Now go and confirm this information I just told you.

You shouldn't like to people, it only strengthens the FUD.

We all know that the token burn is so infinitesimally small relative to the circulation, that it's sooner that the universe as we know it will succumb to heat death before "token burn" begins to even remotely affect the circulation.

Do stores want crypto or fiat? Well there's your answer, REQ can turn ETH, BTC and many ERC-20 tokens straight into cash without the store needing to handle the kafkaesque process of accepting payments in crypto

"pay with request" is already compatible with 40% (IIRC) of all web stores today, if they choose to implement it.

MEW =/= REQ basically

While other anons are making gains on coins that perform. Req is the worst fucking gainer there is plain and simple. Now open your deluded eyes and look at the chart.

boyo, i have had 100k REQs since the ICO and bought a few more when it dropped below ICO, havent bled anything. I have had better gains in other coins yes, but that does not change the fundamentals of this projects, which is one of the most groundbreaking projects out there. What happens when your shitcoin that went up 500% this year is declared a security by the SEC and drops 90% in a few hours? Still glad you had "gains" that you didnt cash out?

You need to think long term, not just the next "moon". Look at some dotcom boom and bust charts and reevaluate your tactics.

That's the problem - it can't and the team abandoned the fiat integration.

>> No.9428939

>>9428653
i dont think they abandoned it, that's what the whole Maker DAI partnership was about. You can pay in eth and the request network turns that into a stablecoin (DAI) which is always worth 1$. There will probably be some automation from there on out, I.E. automated bank transfers from Maker once a week or something

found it, they are just pushing it back because it's not as pressing in the short term, but they will integrate it

>In the short term, we will focus on payments in cryptocurrencies, salaries, or loans. This is a fast growing, untapped market where we bring the most value. In the mid-term, once the benefits of Request have become more evident, we will move to fiat and turn Request into a mainstream solution.

They simply had no other option. There is actually no infrastructure to support fiat integration.

You brainlets don't realize that for automated fiat conversions to take place, there needs to a regulated liquidity provider, like a bank or Coinbase, to provide the fiat for the decentralized exchanges needed to make the swaps. So not only oracles, but a whole layer of regulation which does not even exist.

You brainlets really need to think about this. REQ are simply waiting that someone else comes along and does the hard work for them.

REQ is a 3-5 year hold. the price won't start going up until the network is actually being used (if wikimedia started accepting donations through Request, that would certainly drive the price up, but who knows when that'll happen)

OmiseGo or Stellar will handle the fiat. And the fiat will never, ever be USD. It's going to be Asian and African currencies, which isn't ideal, but we can still make money if those turd worlders use our network. Africans and Jungle Gooks probably don't have the strict regulatory framework whites do and they don't have Jews running their finances so they'll probably be dumb and start issuing tokens on one of these blockchains that can be swapped one to one for their dogshit national currencies.

That being said, you speculators need to find other coins and fuck off from REQ. Why? Well think about two scenarios:

1. All the sell orders from 30 cents to one dollar are bought out by one human being. He now owns all those tokens and can sell them when he wishes.

2. All the sell orders from 30 cents to one dollar are bought out by the token burner contract. Those tokens cannot be dumped back on to the market, they are out of circulation forever.

Which is a better thing for token holders? Obviously number 2. Practically speaking though, since fees are so low and nobody is using the network we'll need greater fools to drive the price of our token up, just like every other token in existence, so I take back what I said about speculators fuckign off.

i think we need both speculative value and the value from the fee burning, but not too much hype, we need steady growth. The more tokens burned early on = much higher token value in the long run since fees are calculated in fiat, not amount of tokens
