Theres no 0.15 ETH.
Theres no coin.
Theres not even an actual person behind this OP.

The whole intent was to find out how many shitcoins exactly drive the ambition to do precisely what Etherum has already done, and you shitlords did a stellar job in delivering. Will ETH be killed? Im thinking no, but all of these coins want into that spot.

If you can reasonably compare blockchain to the internet, then you can reasonably compare the war for the smart contract meme to google vs the rest. Youre betting on whos being google. Theres no need to use every single shitcoin and connect everything with oracles if theres one system established and working like a charm, noone will ever run apps on NEO over ETH in both their current states.

I figure what we're all looking for is a decentralized banking coin. The government's want something that can be tracked. XRP meets in the middle. The transparent block chain would allow accountability for tax purposes, including deductions to be no problem. Maybe. The vast majority of people who are going to use it for this purpose aren't doing it to buy drugs, guns, and hookers. Also, a massive market cap would make it impossible to manipulate and reduce volatility.

implying payments doesnt directly imply xlm is headed for an entirely different market. etherum is the king right now, theres so much shit on and around it, nobody will want to rebuild it if its successful. the worst part about ethereum is the gas

Worst case something kills it or it needs to be forked again to solve all of its shit, best case it either fixes without being forked or outright is ment to die but survives this and next year on life support. But I doubt XLM will be it, even with IBM behind them, It wouldnt make sense for what its trying to be

>> No.9273101

>>9273056
Ethereum still has its coding as an advantage, but I don't see any viable dapps or DAO's currently.
Payments has, and always will be the real essence of crypto and why Bitcoin was made for. Ethereum helps create a voting aspect to it.
Stellar has a different game strat and consists of trying to be the best of all 4 major cryptos

>> No.9273368

>>9273101
yeah, but god I wish xlm would die
the entire meme with "bank the unbanked" put me off right from the start, caleb was lucky IBM wanted something to work with.

I dont think payments will look alot different in 2050, I think there is viable models with crypto that will actually generate money, but fiat is gonna largely reign. I see a market with offshore banking, black market activity etc and diluding taxes with BTC and XMR and even Tether that will keep crypto alive. I also believe IoT and Data-Transfers will be something companies could be willing to pay for aswell as customers.
If you look at the Rfid-Tag approach from VeChain, I for one can imagine people scanning these for 0,01cts buying THOR from the network just to see where this stuff came from, if it can reliably validated that is (which technically blockchain should be able to do).

But XLM is literally... just peg the token value to be stable and run it as exchange medium, nothing lost, nothing gained. Theres no reason it should have value, it wont generate any value itself. I just dont trust where its supposed to be going as it stands. Id rather believe in people paying for computing power or decentralized exchanges with currencies based on MW/h for buying power than a medium of exchange holding value based on >actually< nothing. Its supposed to do 1:1 currency swaps that are fast and cheap, nothing else.

>> No.9273494

>>9273368
>just peg the token value to be stable and run it as exchange medium, nothing lost, nothing gained
It's the same idea of the current financial infrastructure, but instead of fiat cash and outdated banking procedures (which can take days to verify), you can set it up on the Stellar Network which can do it under 5 seconds.

>Theres no reason it should have value, it wont generate any value itself
The idea of Stellar itself is to create a new financial world, which is full of trust and can send all types of assets with each other within 5 seconds
The value is in the Network, which will build over time

What value is the USD dollar?

>> No.9273670

>>9273494
theres no reason to use XLM for actual payment if it can swap to fiat without any problems in 3-5 seconds at marketprice, theres no reason for xlm to have a high price in any case. I agree its better than conventional banking, I disagree theres a reason to use it for "payment" instead of just swapping fiat back and forth.

Imagine you want to pay litebit.eu for a bunch of bitcoin
>Deploy your USD using the XLM-Network
>Converts to XLM at some fixed rate
>Gets send to litebit.eu's wallet
>Instantly converts to EUR at some fixed rate

You see the problem? Theres no need for stellar to have any sort of value for this to work, as long as people dont pay with XLM directly, you could just peg it to a certain value that nice for accurate conversions and be fine. The only reason it has value is because it can be traded, and somehow people decide they want it for this or that price.

>The value is in the Network
No its not, because any competetion can do exactly the same. Theres no reason for the network to ever cost anything to anyone, theres no reason ultimately to pay some sort of fee, its a revolution in HOW data and information is transmitted, but not a buisness model on its own. Stellar itself does not "produce" anything besides the network it resides in, it does not "create" anything. Nobody will "pay" for anything necessarily in the long run. Which is just where I find it odd it has any value at all.

The problem with Stellar vs USD is that theres an entire economy and globalist supplychains all using USD, while literally nobody uses XLM besides trading crypto -> crypto, crypto -> fiat

I would have a different opinion if my local supermarket accepted xlm, and if the constant need for xlm to rotate would actually create demand, but I dont see why that would happen anytime soon. As far as we are, demand comes exclusively through speculation. theres no way in the world xlm is scarce for its usecase and creates demand through that

The point of Stellar was to make it easily accessible for anyone to enter a financial network and trade with all things globally.
The software of Stellar is trying to make it EASY for people to use it in their own infrastructure by allowing this software/hardware aspect do the Payments part of it.

FYI, you don't have to implement your entire business around this, you just have to add yourself onto the Stellar Network.

By utilizing the Stellar Decentralized Exchange, you can literally be an anchor and set up your real life assets on the Stellar Network and exchange it with all other types of assets.
The SDEX also has certain alogrithims in itself that will find the quickest trade through pathing.
So if someone wants to do USD/BTC, and another person BTC/IOTA, the code in the SDEX will find all available trades that can be made between USD/BTC/IOTA and execute it. It is called pathing.

The current strat for Stellar to grow is by the Stellar team creating partnerships with big corporations that will make something useful.
Currently there are many remittance companies taking advantage of Stellar. People trade Euro's to multiple countries.
The volume is ramping up, but there is still much more work to be done

Sure, but where does stellar gain any value but through scarcity, and why should anyone use the system if scarcity stands in the way of payments? XLM is a utility token, its ""value"" for the network lies in the utility. Either you need to pay to be on the stellar network, or it will be no profit. The token NEEDS to be available for the entire thing to work, and hence you cannot let its price run freely, you cannot allow that theres ever scarcity and somebody has to "wait" to buy stellar.

Which just basically means that the entire value of the thing is pure speculation unless people accept it for goods or services at a fixed rate. itself, forever, at a fixed rate.
the entire money system revolves around fiat being available everywhere and being scarce to some extent. people need to make choices with fiat. for XLM to work, it cannot be scarce, it always needs to be there as medium of exchange.

its as if you mad a taxi service that promises that taxis will readily available at any time for no cost at all and somehow people pay to hoard the taxis to me
I hope you can find some idiocy in that analogy that will make XLM an easy buy for me

I trust that you do anon, I will spend some of your eth so I can send you eth. I will cover your gasfee with eth so you can take some of my eth and just cover my gasfee with eth later when I take some of your eth and will reimburse your gascosts with yet more eth from my wallet in which case of course you will return the favor

Im just gonna send you a letter with a new wallet and private key and the specified amount in it, then you send me back a package with a Harddrive that has saved the ETH for gascosts. I will then sell the Harddrive including the ETH and pay you with A loan of my BTC of nexo.io. Once the loan defaults they will sell my house, at this point in time you will send me 10k link and a server to the homeless shack I will be residing in, I will find a way to create a node and gain staking profits. Once im a millionare I will come to your house and pay you in Bitcoin Cash, we will have a good laugh, and then I pay you for real in Bitcoin. Then we go and beat up John MacAffee. Deal?

I understand your points.
There is an inflation process of 1% (1 billion) added per year to all the holders, so you get compensated for the inflation. 1% is better than most banks

>ts as if you made a taxi service that promises that taxis will readily available at any time for no cost at all and somehow people pay to hoard the taxis to me
For your analogy, you are taking the goal of Stellar and discarding the other great things that make it more than just a simple utility.
For starters, buying XLM is not necessarily an investment. However, buying things on the Stellar Network might be worth it. You see the ignorance?
The great things of Stellar is what it can provide, the more XLM you have, the more power you have in the Stellar Network. You can create tokens on the SDEX from 1 Lumen, but that doesn't mean everyone will start trading for your shit token

Are you a company? Reputable business? What is your token? What is your LinkedIn?
It looks like you are downplaying the underlying impact that Stellar is trying to create with the Stellar Network and its software.
With Quorums and trust lines, you are essentially creating a public ledger for all assets, and forcing people to play by rational and just laws. To be transparent and helpful to the community. If you don't do these things, then no one will deal with you.
Just like in real life.
