how do you cope when your down 90% from your ath and keep looking back thinking what could have been if you took profits and didn't watch everything you own bleed out

I could have cleared my debts, travelled, and not have to worry about getting a job for at least two years
now I have 1k left and I feel like an exit bag would be a more worthwhile investment than more shitcoins

is there a way to skip straight to acceptance on the kubler ross?
the depression phase is taking too fucking long

Just gotta stay strong and HODL. Never convert to fiat. And you'll never lose

>no face
I'm a poorfag, too. Now I have like 2,7k and I diversified it. If you ever get an ATH like that, just fucking diversify. They don't call crypto volatile for nothing. Diversifying in blue chips and potential projects is better. 10-20 coins.

Here's some pics to cheer OP up. Don't give up, man.

He's being sarcastic. Just wait, trade small amounts that you can afford to lose and build up your stack. Everytime you make a little profit, take some off the top and put it somewhere else. Don't go all in on anything.

Lots of good animes out there, Kaiji is definitely one of the best.

Hi OP. I was in that situation. 2k to 40k back to 4k from holding.

Currently at 6k. I started by reading a lot of books about trading, diversifying, and trading coins that people actually trade. Making comfy gains, albeit slowly.

holding shitcoins is what got you into this mess
bitcoin, ethereum, monero didn't retrace more than ~70% from ATH, and now they're at half or more

You cope with it by recognizing that the market is 5% skill and 95% luck and timing. You’re young, it’s a “lesson” insofar is this isn’t just gambling in the first place, maybe you can take away a few lessons on the technology, markets and doing your own research.

>He's being sarcastic
poe's law is a bitch but yeah that's what I'm doing at the moment, I'm up £200 this week so I guess that's a start
the thing is, I find myself getting too attached to my holdings and it fucks me over
hot for example, I bought in at 100 then sold 40% at 150
now it's up to 220 do I keep clipping my stack even though I can see it going much higher?
I'm scared of the regret I'd feel if it were to skyrocket and I've sold most of what I had
Is there an optimal formula or something I can use that scales proportionally with profit, like sell 30% at +50% then 60% of what's remaining at +100%?

>>9250510
which books would you recommend?
>>9250524
>holding shitcoins is what got you into this mess
I'll make sure to diversify into some top 20 coins if I ever see the likes of 10k ever again

>>9250577
>>9250577
>maybe you can take away a few lessons on the technology, markets and doing your own research
which resources should I start with?
I understand the basics by reading wiki pages and such but how do I start to learn about the market itself and technology specifics?

>>9250670
I almost went all in at 80 now I feel nauseous, fuck am I buying anymore now though

>>9250871
I already did and tried leverage trading when I thought I'd hit rock bottom and got desperate
ended up getting liquidated
never again

its a nonsensical way of thinking since you wouldn't have been able to predict the future at that time. It's like saying

>why didn't I just pick the winning lottery numbers!?

don't be results-oriented, just learn how to make the most correct decisions with the information that you have at any given time. If you're down 90%, figure out if it's because you made an actual "mistake", assess what that mistake was, and educate yourself so that you don't repeat that same mistake again. If you can't figure out what mistake you made, then you're probably not intelligent enough to be trading cryptocurrency to begin with and should just focus on a regular 9-5 wagecuck job to make your money like most people do.

>>9250971
>figure out if it's because you made an actual "mistake"
yeah not diversifying into high mcaps, not taking profits, leverage trading, not setting stoplosses, falling for the hold meme, and thinking that if I just turn a blind eye to the markets my portfolio will magically multiply
if I'm making all these mistakes to begin with, am I just a fully fledged brainlet?
