I used to brush off the "coins will just make their own oracles" FUD because LINK was the only viable oracle solution announced at the time. Now Chainlink refuses to make an sort of presence, and everyone else is announcing their own oracles. What the fuck is Sergey doing? He should at least try to keep *some* hype alive so people don't forget about the project, and those who could benefit from utilizing the tech can actually find out about it. I don't understand his secrecy.

Chainlink is positioning itself to corner the entire oracle market in one fell swoop. The more of a presence they have, the more likely it is competitors will spring up and try to take market share.

Link's partners and technologies are pretty unique, and are solid enough that they really need to be protected. Remember, this isn't a traditional business where you're trying to gain as much notoriety as possible- everything chainlink is working on is on Github, and can be seen on PivotalTracker.

Sergey is really a hell of a guy. I highly recommend you all watch his youtube videos and read his Quora posts. He's a man who believes in quality, and he simply won't compromise and put out some bullshit to meet a deadline.

In my opinion, a successful mainnet release and working oracles for eth, btc, and hyperledger will take Link to $5-10. We probably won't see insane mooning until the next big wave of cryptomania comes around, and we have another huge bullrun that will easily take us to $100+. Patience is key.
