What reason would I have to think it a good idea to trade in my BTC for BCash?

You should probably do your research and stop calling it Bcash after you realise you're bagholding a shitcoin and the real Bitcoin is currently a fucking bargain

Why are Cashies so autistic and incapable of social communication and winning people to their own side?
Serious question.

There's no angrier coinholder than a Cashie. Any mention of the generally accepted name for their coin and they always freak out screeching that their coin identifies as something other than its socially constructed label. It puts off any prospective buyer.
I don't care if it's the 'real' Bitcoin or the real fucking stinky linky. I just want people in support of and against B C A S H to put forward their opinions.
I could do the research myself, yes, but from what little I've done, most sites are either BCash or BTC paid shills masquerading as 'neutral' journalists.

holding btc is a very safe bet. if you want to make money and own the future king of crypto then sell tour bitcoin for 20% ETH, 50% ADA, 30% EOS (would have been 40% ADA and EOS 3 weeks ago before recent EOS moonage).
>bcash is a shitcoin marketing scam, but since OP is a paid bcash shill he already knows that.

This. And honestly, the bcash shills are the most annoying uninformed where the bitcoin shills are arrogant pricks full of themselves. Both suck. And with ICO legislation on the way it will get worse. Fuck the butcoin brand

You mean the dis-associative term you shills slander Bitcoin (BCH) with mercilessly which has exactly zero effect on the price or Bitcoin (BCH) itself? Grow the fuck up champ.

If you really want to know why BCH will win in the end listen to these two talk:

If it has no effect, why do you care?
It is the generally accepted name for the coin. If you tell somebody you will buy their car for a bitcoin, they agree, then you send them 1BCH, you are committing fraud.
I'm not a BTC shill nor a BCash shill, though I've been called both merely for asking for information comparing to two coins (of which I've thus far had none).

This picture is technically wrong.

First, BCH forked using a hard fork.

The first segwit transaction and thus the first instance of a 'soft forking' change happened muc later.(it doesn't really create a fork because it's a soft fork. A soft fork would only happen if an old node did something the new rules would disallow, but that didn't happen).

So basically, instead of a ----<, you'd need a ----/---/, with the first slash being BCH, and the second slash being Bitcoin with SegWit. In reality, ----/----- with BCH as the first and only fork is the most accurate representation, because there was no fork, not even an orphaned block because of tighter rules, for BTC.

Ah yes you're totally not a shill and yet you refer to Bitcoin (BCH) as bcash. The net effect of this spammy term is nothing or positive, it results in more search results turning up Bitcoin Cash and people wonder why there is a blatant propaganda campaign against Bitcoin Cash and investigate.

here's the thing about bitcoin. it's open source and it doesn't have any governing body. it does however have a git hub repository.

now, if group a does not allow group b to include their code into the repository they have no choice than to fork off into their own repository. that doesn't mean that group B is less right in their opinion over how bitcoin should work.

maybe a the project technically "forked off", but bitcoin itself (the idea) definitely had a Y fork. two groups were on the same path, had a disagreement on how to continue and then went their different ways.

all that matters in the end is how many agrees with group a or b.
