When I was younger my grandfather owned a 130 foot yacht. I got to go on a couple trips before he decided it wasn't worth the trouble. It's just a huge money pit and practically wasteful.

yachts are amazing but you truly need fuck-you money to get one. Like, be a literal billionaire. IMO renting a beautiful boat for $150k/week once a year makes a lot of sense, especially if you have rich friends and can split the price 3 or 4 ways.
