My business puts me in constant contact with the upper middle class. The kind that have designer yoga pants, a second hand Bentley or Land Rover, and kitchens that are larger than some apartments.

I notice they don't really...do anything. They're just not tied to a schedule, take their time, have days off all the time. All they "do" is work out and drink heavily.

What is their source of income??

I figure it's money markets, stocks, startup investments etc but I want to know how to have that kind of revenue.

They live at the edge of their means, I could be rather comfy with that kind of money because I tend to save it up.

I have $12,000 I've put away and have no allocation in mind. How do I get comfy?

>> No.8985767

they are constantly reaping dividends from whatever their assets are in. real estate, stock market, businesses they own. They don't do anything because they don't have to.

and to follow up, most successful people in this country inherit some kind of wealth to begin with. some of these people you meet probably have never or will never do anything worthwhile for the market but will perpetually be rich, passing shit on to the next generation.

>>8985797

>> No.8985837

Most of these people breed shrimps. Yeah, I knows it seems silly but did you know if you do it well you could sell each for $10? All you gotta do is have a nice tank, feed them some food and let them do their thing. Soon you will have a big colony of shrimps, like 100+ shrimps.

Hey OP, I was born into one of these families.

My dad is a sports radio and tv host, my mum owns a PR firm, and my Stepfather does private contracting for the military after serving as a green beret for several years.
All three of them have a few things in common:
>they all have rental properties
>they are all significantly invested, with both time and money, into their investments
>they take significant risks
>Only one of them(my mum, who interestingly earns the least) went to university
>each have extremely stringent money habits, only allocating "splurge" money to one or two hobbies(cars for my dad and stepfather, travel for my mum)
>they taught me from a VERY young age how to manage and make money
>all three are entirely selfmade - my mum is an immigrant from Rhodesia, my stepfather worked his ass off in the military, my dad started as an intern at a local news station)
>THEY AVOID BAD DEBT(credit cards, student debt, etc) AT ALL COSTS and only use manageable debt to build credit

I know this all sounds like a larp but the whole point of long ass blog post is that the most important thing to do is watch your money like a fucking hawk. Finances are one of the most important things in our lives, and they should be treated as such.

I'm only 19 but I am now making enough with my own business to fund my university schooling(with significant help from the GI bill and a few scholarships, thank god), and spend my time running aforementioned business and shipping MVP software.

DESU yoga pants are maybe $200, a second hand bentley can be as low as $1,000 per month, and a nice kitchen in a rental can be had, depending on state, for $2,500 per month.

So you're basically interacting with people who earn enough to fund a lifestyle at or around $70,000 before tax.

$42,000 for rent and car loan/lease, + expenses for yoga pants, yoga, smoothies, etc.

So that could be a married couple both earning $35,000 as school teachers with the husband wearing walmart while his wife wears gucci.

This doesn't really exist as a class. If you aren't working and you are living a lifestyle, you are wealthy.

If you are working, but living a lifestyle above your current means, you are either well-educated and on track to be upper class, or, larping and destined to be poor and lower class.

If you aren't working and are living a good lifestyle, you are already upper class. You are liking from a wealthy family and you know you have money coming your way.

It's not a meme. I'm getting an aquariam installed tomorrow. Built an insulated shed in my yard and dug out a 10x10x3 inside.

Pic related, I already have two sushi restaurants that are interested and I'm going to be shilling my shrimps to a local fish market. Also farmer's markets are lucrative

Pic fucking related

Most wealthy people that i know grow mescal worms for Tequila. Disregard the anons with the shrip farns - for it is only a ruse to lure you away from the Mescal Game.

This whole thing reminds me of the Dutch tulip market, just not as insane yet.
