If an organisation is looking to hire 12 people, and the interviews are two hours each, and they are only holding interviews over the course of three days, does that mean I'm basically guaranteed to get the job?

>> No.8890327

if you mention that in the interview theyll hire you for being so intelligent

That's good to know, thanks. At what point do I mention it? Maybe I wait until the end when they prompt me to ask questions?

No. If none of the people who show up end up to be complete brainlets, they hire professionals to deal with their shortage of personel, as there is either no one qualified enough in their own company to hire new people or not enough able people are on the market.

What if it's a job working as an ambassador for a university and to be able to do it you have to have graduated in the past 12 months? They don't have an endless sea of people to pull from.

just walk in and say it right off the bat, remember to shit on desk

Then, your chances are still not better, because the total amount of people do not matter.

You hire people, if they are able to do something. If they have a degree but seem to be not able to do the job or they have exaggerated expectations in the position, they still might not hire you or any of the 12 people they invite.

Immagine it like that: if a company is looking for a new CEO and the janitor is the only one who raises his hand, saying "I do it", the janitor most likely will still stay a janitor, as making the janitor the CEO is not so likely to yield in the results they wish.

A janitor still might be a good choice for a CEO, if I look at the CEOs I met in my life so far...

Nope they said they will hire 12 maybe in this years recruitment process there isn't good enough candidates so they can settle for less

Stay calm and relaxed however - ambassadors for universities is not an executive position, after all and here. If they dont have said exaggerated expectations and if you are not a total brainlet, you get the position.
Good luck, anon.

I'll try my best.

I have to do a 6 minute 40 second "20x20" presentation about "my time at the university", I'm not sure if they are just doing it to gauge your presentation skills or if the content of the presentation actually matters a lot. I've read through the paperwork about what kind of shit their ambassadors typically talk about when doing actual presentations and it's all pretty straight forward.

From what I understand an ambassador does, a bit of both with an slight emphasis on your presentation skills. You need to be confident enough to speak in front of an audience (anything between 2-200 people) after all. Also practice the slides - pecha kucha is a retarded presentation method that needs a retarded amount of prep, even if you are able to present under normal circumstances.

I mean just in terms of assessment in the interview process.

>pecha kucha is a retarded presentation method that needs a retarded amount of prep
This is becoming obvious to me, I don't see the sense in having such rigidity in presenting.

It is a fancy looking technique, but thats all there is - it is looking fancy.

However: I had good results with it on trade fairs.

8 hours per day
4 interviews per day (assuming they have one person or group holding the interview)
3 days would mean logically all 12 would be hired, but for safety’s sake let’s say there’s 3 parties conducting the interviews for candidates - at the assumed worst you have a 33% chance of being hired.
