so im aware that this place is basically a crypto board. but weve been having some decent stock market threads of late, so i know there are some stock gurus lurking out there. im trying to brush up on my financial knowledge, but having never went to school for it, im at a loss as to where to begin looking for decent books on the subject.

just searching generically for "stock market books" and the like, obviously only yields dozens of pages of pajeet tier "get rich quick from selling these retarded options strangles in three weeks" type ebooks. so if anyone has some names of great books, post em here if ya could? just need some specific names to look out for, no need to try and find them yourself or link them if you dont feel like it.

Taught myself trading on forex, by ignoring all TA shit. Restrospectivly reading charts is like tea leaves; you can always see what you want. I don't hold any stock except BP shares I bought after Haliburton killed some guys and Obama's said it was BP's fault. Swing trading is the only way I play forex, look at volume first though and if a dip doesn't make sense then buy it.

Options don't really have good books. You should check out risk management books. Theres a good book by Phillip Jorion that covers what you want. And CBOE's site will fill in the rest.

Nassim Taleb's books are way longer than they deserve to be. not saying he doesn't make a point, but he really beats it into the ground.
just listen to some of the interviews he does instead of reading for 12 hours.
