It is written in stone at this point. Sergey has been at Sibos 2016&2017, and the Chairman and Founder of the World Economic Forum mentioned Sergey’s company directly by name in his 2015 book “the Fourth industrial revolution”. Evidently Sergey has big connections going back to 2015 and likely sooner. So who else exactly is going to do what Sergey is doing? Other banks? Well, no because SWIFT (a cooperation of 11,000 worldwide banks), has already hired Sergey many years ago to develop a standard solution. Why else would the LINK network be built with ISO20022 compliance in mind?

Companies and Banks have API feeds, but not blockchain infrastructure. With ChainLink they can utilize Smart Contract Functionality without having to spend millions transitioning their systems to blockchain native systems.
