Options can have pretty sad liquidity. If there isn't any action, the market makers will set the bid/ask spread real wide to try to make a buck off of people's market orders. If you're in a hurry to get out of your underlying position, then you might have to pay a lot to buy it back with a market order. I have a limited real knowledge in REIT
But I have some thoughts on REIT and inflation
- REIT declares 2 kinds of income : rent income and asset appreciation
- it may look sensible for an asset to appreciate in nominal price whenever there is inflation
- but rents are usually fixed based on time defined contracts and I failed to see how higer inflation will translate into higher rents

thats a good point. ive just been comparing charts of various ones and noticing that they tend to go up during times of inflation. couldnt say the actual mechanics, just that it is statistically likely to happen. but the real money is flipping covered calls against the dividends. thats my new plan. hold the underlying for huge divs, collect premiums on covered calls, flip em on the div dips. the hard part is gonna be timing the ex div date, because you can get assigned early by people buying up extra shares

It's not the research issue, it's extrapolation issue. The base is so low, that Musk can have doubling of production in short time. Extrapolating exponential process leads to big numbers.
