I leave for work around 6:20 AM. I set about 6 alarms on my phone spaced 15 minutes apart (4 AM, 4:15, 4:30, etc). It usually helps me get up by 5:45 at the latest so I have some time before I have to do start doing stuff.

Your half-awake self wants a full night's sleep. I used to do this frustrating thing where I'd set an alarm, wake up to it, turn it off, go back to bed, and then oversleep. It truly fucked my days up. No more

Have a little routine before you go to bed, one that's away from screens and bright lights. Go to bed immediately after (no looking at your phone until the morning). Wake up naturally and automatically at around 5 or 6 every morning without an alarm (might take 2 weeks max to get to this if you have some sleep debt).
You're welcome OP.

Gotta get yourself into the mindset that midnight is late as hell. Be in bed by 11. Learn to embrace the crisp morning air as you smash your cup of coffee. Your slice of the world is opening its eyes. You are one of the first. Your habits that used to keep you up all night are not worth a healthy life. Be excited about your morning routine. Get the expensive breakfast sausages. Get good java. Eat fiber and take big shits. You can do it.

Wake up early and go to bed early until you do. I thought I could never do it, but had to work in the morning for a few years, and I adapted. Of course, now I'm back on a nightshift and my whole routine's fucked.

very good point that I forgot to mention, being in bed by 11 consistently is one the most important thing you can do for your sleep hygiene.

When you get up at 4:30 for work 12 definitely is late as fuck. Get in at 8pm, shower, eat, sleep.

Start drinking at noon. I’m asleep by 7pm ever night. Up at 4am, wide awake. No alarm clock.

Works every time.
