My 70 year old neighbor sent me this. Should I do it? What should I charge him?

I don't have any experience in creating websites but it's wordpress so how hard could it be?

>Should I do it?
yeah sure

>What should I charge him?

nothing. he's just an old man. be a good person for once and help out your elders. like you said
>it's wordpress so how hard could it be
so it's not like you're trying to split atoms

Even if I charged him nothing there's still 18$/year for the wordpress site.

does he want you to recreate the site? or just manage it for him?

it would be better if you get access to the accounts held by the woman who created the site. if you don't get access to the domain, host and feedburner account, then he would have to start all over again

There a way he can get the subscriber list from feedburner if he doesn't have access to the account?

If it turns out it needs to be recreated does it break any rules to make it look exactly the same?

I'd do it for free.

He probably doesn't have much money, and even if he does I don't want to charge someone for something so trivial.

He seems to be nice and he just wants to spend some of his freetime reviewing theatre shows... His family probably abandoned him and his wife likely died.

He's just trying to get his mind off things and have some good times and you're thinking about how to capitalize on his situation.

His wife is alive and well and they live together.

But yeah I won't charge him jeez

Charge him enough to keep the site up at least. If its $18/year, all it costs you is time to help him out.

It's a good idea to do it for free, just ask in in the future he would serve as reference . You never know what kind of connections a person will have

Is there a small community newspaper that would post his articles for free? After all, it is free content for them.

Maybe his internet service has a webpage option.

Make it really nice(put some effort into it) and you can use him as a reference and perhaps he knows others who might need similar help but don't have knowledgeable grandchildren.

If the wife bakes, I'd ask 'em for a cake or a pie in return.

>> No.843309

I actually kind of don't want to do it is anyone else interested?

>> No.843780

I'll do it for anything he wants to donate. cwinter84 gmail
