How do large sellers on eBay ship all their stuff out? I know they find their suppliers on Alibaba, but do their suppliers ship directly to the customers? How does the supplier know where to ship?

I believe that is called drop ship and is only recommended after you have a good relationship with the supplier. If just starting out, have them ship to you and then you ship it out to your customers.

At around how many units sold do you think it would be good to ask to drop ship?

He's not asking how they get their supplies but how they ship it to the customers.
He wants to know how powersellers ship their shit for cheap/faster, most use Amazon's FBA program (which is illegal with Amazon's policy)

Amazon is slowly fixing that now (after years of complaints)

While others use companies like Pitney Bowes

Why are you posting outside >>836362 ?

Drop shipping is dead, only a dumb ass looking to lose a lot of money would consider doing that now.

You would have to
>Get the shipping address from the buyer
>eMail it to your supplier
>Have them ship it from China to the buyer

To only get banned on eBay for claiming you're selling from the USA when you're cheating your buyers.

Your first feedback would be a negative, then wakeup next day wondering why your items aren't listed.

I have no personal experience on the matter. I would assume that most importantly is that you trust they will ship non faulty products to the correct location on time and packaged nicely without any other issues. Why are you looking into that?
