Like it or not, /biz/ has always been a fairly accurate indicator for overall market mood and has followed the meme graph fairly closely. I would say, based on having been here for a while and looking at the crypto-space as a whole, that we're probably around the depression stage. Save for something extraordinary affecting the market, I would predict an upturn in the next month or so.

You are actually making a mistake here.

There are actually 3 types of crypto assets right now.

Cryptocurrency (2009)
Crypto platforms/Smart contract providers (2015)
Crypto decentralized applications (2016)

These are 3 VERY DIFFERENT markets and have different value propositions. Sure they are still linked due to being so young but they don't even fall in the same category besides being originally based upon blockchain technology.

The current bubble is only a cryptoCURRENCY bubble and maybe a semi-platform bubble that ETH has (but you could argue that ETH is just overvalued because it's considered a currency by the mainstream).

However dapps aren't in a bubble at all and some are even undervalued compared to how disruptive they could be to current financial systems.

>>8308183
My Boomer dad already got into crypto through ETFs late 2017. I think growth based on luring in new money is over now.

Now there needs to start a new era of actually creating value in the world. The speculation market is largely over. At least for currencies and most likely platforms.

>>8308218
Less than 1 in 100 people in the first-world own crypto. Even if 5 in 100 owned it,

Latest studies show that almost half of the Chinese population owns some crypto. It's nearing 80% in both Japan and South Korea. In western Europe it;'s almost at 50% for people aged 40 and up.

Mostly it's the USA that somehow not has jumped on the ride with only 40% owning crypto.

Your numbers are either just made up, or based upon anecdotal evidence.

Please realize that Crypto is actually most popular in Asia and with an older generation in the west.

Right now we're definitely in denial though, I made some posts on Reddit and BTT to see what people would say when I say that the bubble has popped. They all deny it, except for a few people. 9/10 says its bull and some even say that we're still in a bullrally considering the price from 2013 etc. There's a point in it it just isn't very valid and highly subjective.

I want this shit to crash, since december I can't find a good entry in any altcoin, unironically only chainlink and a few others still have decent entries.

But I'm detached from it, if it goes up idc, I'm sticking to BTC anyway for now, altcoins should bleed anyway in either case going up or down as people are consolidating back to BTC.

But we're definitely in denial though, its pretty easy to tell. 4chan is catching up however but most forums are still saying its just going sideways which is similar to saying:
