Ethereum is currently useless other than making other tokens and running ICOs. Sharding and other updates should improve it. Other platforms will probably coexist.

Bitcoin is established, so it would take time for another currency coin to replace it fully. But Monero is better. Non-private cryptocurrency is pretty stupid if you think about it.
