also, that pinkdate darknet market coin is going to explode the demand for monero.

BTCP will overtake Monero. Normies don't know what a Monero is. They understand what a Bitcoin Private is just from the name

too many privacy leaks. the DNM already support monero. Its THE privacy coin. nothing else comes close in terms of redundancies and privacy features.

Monero is old tech. The future wants Zksnarks + obfuscation which BTCP has. Brand name is everything. Monero sounds mexican and weird. BTCP sounds familiar

lol, monero has by far the best tech in privacy coins sector and every 6 months its get updated. Just look in the future of monero : hardware wallet support incoming, multisig , kovri , bulletproofs and the list goes.

>DNM

Monero has been useable for ages and markets have only just added Monero support.

At this point in time more transactions are done in Bcash than Monero on DNM, simply barely anyone uses it.

Online markets won’t save it.

Zksnarks space math has nothing on Monero. Optional privacy coins will always be vulnerable to temporal analysis. Basically, they're shit.

>>7932199
Using pseudonymous coins for DNM transactions is fully retarded. As soon as bulletproofs comes out in a few months and Monero transaction fees are cut down there will be no excuse not to use it over BCH. Add in the increase in individuals getting privy to Monero's ability to be your own Swiss bank and its price is set to explode.

Still no phone wallet. Light clients are difficult or maybe impossible due to needing to scan the whole blockchain for your hidden outputs.
Zcash (the only real competitor) is also unusable on phones due to ram requirements, but their upcoming sapling hardfork reduces that to 40MB.
Zcash however still has 7x coin dilution (inflation) to go before it approaches the 21 million cap. Monero has almost run out its issuance curve already.
With monero, your anonymity pool is only a few outputs. You need to mix your coins through some intermediate transactions if you want to beat transaction tracing.
Zcash has optional anonymity, so you have to choose a z-address or it's just as bad as bitcoin. Noobs will get burned by not knowing the difference.
A conspiracy of all the original key generators, or a mistake in their inscrutable moon math, permits to undetectable infinite inflation.
Monero uses more well-tested, easily understood cryptography. Less likely to experience a catastrophic break, less likely to experience a sudden breakthrough and massive improvement.
Both are vulnerable to quantum computers, resulting in infinite undetectable inflation, but monero would also lose anonymity.
Monero already has more DNM support, soon to be much more when multisig rolls out
Head of Zcash tweeted once about he thinks he has a way to deanonymise "criminals" using Zcash. Downplayed it later.
Zcash has 20% of mining rewards go straight to the foundation, monero development is crowdfunded by voluntary contributions.
This turned into more of a braindump than I was expecting. Not shilling or fudding, just some things to think about.

Even if you leave it at its default ringsize it can't be tracked with 100% certainty. The rest of what you said is alright but I took issue with this.
