That's assuming 8% annual returns (lower than what it usually is) and only 3% withdrawal rate (also less than what you could be taking out). That's almost a hundred fucking thousand dollars a year, after tax, in your fucking pocket.

And you're telling me that with 1) literally as much free time as you want (because you wouldn't be working) and 2) a hundred grand a year, you don't think you could be happy?

I'd do more research but I would just find relatively safe dividend funds. I use SPFF to hold my cash that'll have to pay taxes on. Relatively safe but trending down right now. Pays decent monthly dividends.

So let's do the math.

5,353,530 / 14.32 (share price) = 373,849 shares

373,849 * 0.0825 = $30,842.54 monthly income

Probably wouldn't be able to fill an order that large but that's just for scale.

Say that to my great uncle. He lives in the neighborhood on the north side of the Golden Gate bridge in a super fucking nice house and owns something like 20 rental units near Arizona State University. He only "works" a couple weeks out of the year, and most of that consists of hanging out with me and my family and a few days of fixing up units between tenants.
