Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers
>$1 commission per 100 shares. $10k minimum to open, $3k if 25 or under. Lowest margin interest. Free API access

it is a current meme but the only solid companies i have found are in DRC. i'm already heavily long in one lithium company in the DRC so i'd rather not put any more money on the line in that country. the other issue i found is that cobalt is never the main metal being mined. it's always found in a small quantity among other metals so you can't really get on a pure cobalt play.

Yeah, DRC is a big problem. All >muh racism aside, DRC really seems to be the definition of shithole.
Though there are quite a few Co plays outside of it. E.g. the aptly named European cobalt in some eastern EU mining regions (though they had bad drilling results and a value drop to go with it) or Northern Cobalt for an Aussie play. And Norilsk Nickel is also into cobalt, though Russia is quite high on the shithole list too.
Maybe Umicore or american manganenese for comps looking to extract thte stuff from old batteries?
Already in Umicore, seems like a solid long term idea (plus, recycling is a good thing anyways…), but haven't lloked too much into manganese.

Interest rates this past year didn't do shit. the only time market even flinched after a fed minutes is when they talked about the debt ceiling NOT the interest rates. Interest rates probably aren't even on their mind right now, they have a world of other problems to deal with than interest rates. It appears most of sector is in flat mode pending March 1st deadline for conclusion of senate second reading of bill C45. Federal government representative in senate is on record saying time allocation will be used if necessary to meet that deadline. Conservative senators are attempting to delay as expected. The main thing they have done is put in a request to speak about some issue related to the bill, then never get up and actually do it. Last i heard 20 conservative senators have put in requests since late November 2017 and none have spoken yet. Thus need to invoke time allocation rule.

On the bright side, conservatives do not have the necessary votes to block this bill, nor can they weasel out if time allocation, meaning legalization is on schedule for summer still.

I'll also add that the PC party has lost my vote for 2019 because of these antics. They're not delaying for any positive reason. It's just partisan bullshit. Normally i vote PC but if this is how the party chooses to conduct government they have lost my confidence and my vote.

Is that what they have you believing? the past fucking 4-5 years it's been the same fucking thing over and over. Interest rates aren't going to have any serious effect until they are over 4% Why would they raise them much more without GDP raising? they still haven't influenced enough spending or investing with interest rates so low which is the whole reason for keeping them low, you know, so people can start to use leverage?!? Why keep looking at interest rates when they've been and still are considered historically low?

I don't think you understand what i am saying. When it comes to this interest rate news and inflation news nothing really happens in the long run except a short term correction, to think the bull run is over due to a .25 increase in interest rates you must be new to the markets, been hearing "muh interest rates" for fucking years and it never does shit

EPIC checks the government mandated boxes very well for medicare; the shitty little EHRs could not keep up. They played it great by going for the big hospital systems when the government gimiedats were flowing for EHR upgrades. The product however has probably set-back healthcare innovation a good 10-15 years. Not good for a system that still uses pagers as a primary means of communication.

Bitcoin also flashcrashed right before as well though. It seems like the markets were linked; I dont see bonds having anything to do with bitcoins. Unless people were pulling out of bitcoin to cover their margin calls. But then you would think buttcoin would have crashed after the markets.

im just saying that interest rates news is old news, they're going to have to find something new to get the market to completely flush people out. They've been going on with interest rate news forever now and nothing has changed. Sure you get these minor corrections but there won't be any dramatic crash until interest raise ALOT more than what they are now, and they will most likely not raise interest rates until GDP is much higher.
