Will they need to have enterprises working in co-operation with them to act as 'banks'? Do I need some kind of digital ID for that? How about liquidity?

Also, why would banks or enterprises pay extra for OMG if they could use, say, Ripple for equally fast transactions (or slightly slower, if all hype about Plasma holds water) for a lesser cost?
