Even LinkPool's target is 5% month in long-term so if you run own node 2%/month is possible.

data is the new oil bitch. look at the mining world to see how these operate.

I mean once people see the ROI here it might go down but then the link price would make up for it @ $250+

If main net release won't affect the price we might see it be legit 20% month.
That is why you want to have your stack ready as soon as staking starts. Payout rate will never be a good as in the very beginning

It's gonna get messy out there. They aren't gonna let you have free money. $$$=struggle. Gonna be data warfare: DDOS, fraud, zeroday attacks... etc.

Imagine the main net is here but the singularity isn't.
Weak hands lose grip and sell their LINK sub 40c
Linkpool modifies its payout rate to cover operation cost and sustain a constant $ value of fees.

As a result, you grab your 20% extra LINK the first month. Once node operators accumulate excessive LINK amounts, its price goes up and payout is reduced to 1%/month.
But it doesn't bother you as you've 1) accumulated via speculation, 2) accumulated via staking.
With LINK being in high demand you can separate your stack between several nodes. 50k LINK/node limit goes down to 20k LINK/node then to 10k on linkpool.

10k LINK is now enough for you to operate your very own node and get all the profit.
If LINK is $5 by then, and you get your steady 1%, that means you get $500 each month from each of your nodes.
That is why ppl are so crazy about cumulatin now.
