Good update, exactly what I wanted to see during this bear period: just diligent work and technical improvements. No hype, just hard work.

Confidence in team re-affirmed.

THe RCN partnering makes sense too. It's not just news for the sake of news.

>> No.7215983

This is seriously the best update they have released so far.

It's funny, they launched in exchanges in a very bad moment, even dropping below ICO prices. Now they launch this great update in the middle of this shitstorm and the price is low. It really makes me think life is giving us the signals to make money.

>We can now detect ‘broadcasted’ request transactions from the txpool that are not yet mined. The payment is detected before it appears on the blockchain. It allows users to see if a payment is in progress even if it is not confirmed. One of the important benefits of this is that you won’t have to wait for your transaction to be mined while paying online or at a restaurant.

Sure my dude.

It's coin that does 2 things:

- Creates revenue for websites instead of banner ads. It lets users mine for prls.
- It's a file hosting system on the tangle.

To pay for GB you pay with PRL. That's where it gets it's value. Think of the hosting as a totally anonymous MegaUpload, where things are stored encrypted on the IOTA tangle.

The best thing is yet to come. The price of PRL will be fucking PEGGED. You pay for 64GB per year with one year. 6$ for a service like this is a conservative estimate.

Confirmed here: https://medium.com/oysterprotocol/how-prl-pricing-will-work-in-the-future-d67c4f231386

Do the math. PRL right now is fucking low. The price will be pegged. So if this platform takes of, you will go at least x6. (some people even think it will be 15$ per PRL as the service is anonymous).

Also. It just had it's first testnet launch 2 days ago. Shit looked really good (fucking slow) but really good.

https://medium.com/oysterprotocol/oyster-pearl-testnet-a-is-live-e801d790eae3

So if they fix the speed issues we could be fucking millionaires in a year.

>> No.7217865

>>7217680
That's not what made this news great at all.

What made it great was the confirmation that they are on schedule for Q1.

That they have 32 development groups that look to develop an application upon the REQ protocol

That they now have a dedicated group of amateur developers that contribute to the coding space by branching off the JS library to other languages.

The fact that they have a mindmap up for future partnerships now that clearly shows a couple of them are already being negotiated right now so we will have at least ~5 more partnerships announcements in Q1 2018.

The RNC partnership is just a small pebble as a closing message and isn't really important.

This is bullish as fuck news. As it basically confirms that there are businesses interested in using Request Network as soon as possible and since they are on track they will start to make ACTUAL REVENUE late Q1 2018.

This shit will moon to heaven when they actually start to make money and the burning of tokens starts to happen. Everyone and their mum will try to buy REQ as it's the first fucking cryptoproject that actually has market adoption and is making money.

It means that they are more likely to actually be able to achieve what they set out to do. (Which is a VERY ambitious goal).

The price of REQ right now is just betting how likely they are in succeeding at their mission. If they become closer to reaching their goals the risk that they'll fail goes down. Updates like this confirm that they are succeeding right now which means that holding REQ becomes less risky and thus should have a higher valuation. That's how trading in stocks work. Crypto is overinflated due to being in a bubble right now but the fundamentals should be the same.
