Circumstances have pushed me to start my business that I have been thinking about for years. Ive already bought my domain, set up my business email... now I need a phone.

I was going to use Grasshopper but after reading about it, it isnt what I want. I need to make inbound and outbound calls from my cell phone without my personal number coming up (grasshopper can make outbound calls, and there is no "distinctive ring" option either)

Ring Central seems to do what I want, but there is no cell phone app that I can tell, no distinctive ring, and it seems like it is more of a traditional desk based hosted phone system.

Any help here guys? I need to turn this around semi quickly so I can get business cards and letterhead into print asap

I do all that with Skype. They have very affordable prepaid minutes, actual phone numbers, and in/outbound calls to real phones. Cheap as fuck too.

I am assuming I would use the skype app on my phone to make and receive calls? I am also assuming the ring tones are different?

When you say actual phone number, can it be local, and show the business name instead of something like an out of state number that comes up skype?

As far as I'm aware, yes. To clarify, yes on the local#, unsure on what comes up for caller id. No toll free #'s

Very awesome. Skype does exactly what I wanted it to, all for 27 dollars for 3 months :) Local number with unlimited calling.

/biz/ is awesome

I don't know about prices or if it works with your phone, but we use Noble Composer here at my work to receive/ auto call and manually call people. Figured I'd at least mention it.
