I don't think there needs to be a helmsman per se,
Whenever one floats to the top they always become shit or ruin the movement a bit more

Sadly I think the alt right has done its work already, I sensed this very much after the hype kind of died out after the first 100 days of Trump's presidency where like nothing happened

The alt right will only continue on in the broad sentiments of the public, as the pendulum swings back and first world countries create a kind of nationalism based around their own current demographics, and just don't let anyone foreign in

The name alt right was a good one but now it's tainted.
It needed to stay broad, meaning essentially anything to the right that was not neoconservatism, and from there the sentiment of the public would take us to more nationalistic policies
But now, thanks in great part to faggots like Dickhard Spencer, it's smeared with not only full-out Nazi but also an autistic, disconnected, and unworldly image

I am certainly not that, but there's only so much that a person can do to change a whole society

A lotta people act like Hitler was some great manipulator and simply swayed the public of Germany into becoming a dictatorship, when like, fuckin' no, he didn't at all
The situation in Germany just happened to be so shit beforehand that they were willing to go full tilt in the other direction when a kinda charismatic leader arose
Like in Berlin, between the wars the situation was so bad you had commies fighting right wing factions in the streets and people so poor they had brothels where outlanders could sleep with mothers and their daughters in he same bed
>Which is kinda hot, but beside the point

>I don't think there needs to be a helmsman per se, whenever one floats to the top they always become shit or ruin the movement a bit more

Concentrated efforts, commanded by one voice have the edge over splintered factions. Having a leader (or leaderS) is unavoidable as a central command is absolutely necessary to coordinate the propaganda effort.

>Sadly I think the alt right has done its work already, I sensed this very much after the hype kind of died out after the first 100 days of Trump's presidency where like nothing happened

Agreed. I for one am of the opinion that the election of D.T. has done more harm than good to the A.R. in terms of morale, personel and philosophical thoroughness. They have become a bit lax, haven't they?

>The alt right will only continue on in the broad sentiments of the public, as the pendulum swings back and first world countries create a kind of nationalism based around their own current demographics, and just don't let anyone foreign in

Whenever something becomes mainstream without having academic cloud, it gets dragged into a quagmire and will be watered down. It might be my pessismism, but I think in a couple years time, if the current trajectory continues, the Alt Right will almost indistinguishable from ordinary conservatism. Basically, it will be watered down so much, that it's acceptable to the establishment. "Populist nationalism" essentially, akin to the halfbaked nonsense of the (current) Front National or similar parties in Europe, if even that.

>The name alt right was a good one but now it's tainted [...].
Strongly disagree. You don't water down your message to appeal to the norm. You force the norm to bend the knee to your point of view. The democratic approach of appealing to mainstream American sentiments it foolish. My word, if this populist bullshit were to succeed, we would have maybe ten years until the pendulum swings leftward again and all was for nought.
