Realistically, how many millennials on this board make a living wage? By this, I mean you make a high enough take-home pay to:

>Rent an apartment with at least 1 roomate
>Can afford to pay your car and health insurance, etc.
>Still have some money left over to have a little bit of fun on the weekends and save some for the future.

Hard-mode: You cannot include any money that you've made from crypto.

I'm 24, and I'm your average nerd, honestly. Work part time as an accountant which is really almost no work for decent pay, and at night I go to law school. I rarely study but it seems I was born smart, like, I just watch anime and play vidya, study a little, and I miraculously keep passing Accounting and law school. I'm not bragging to be honest, because my social awkwardness, low self esteem, inability to talk with women, and my physical (un)fitness balances things out.

I probably cant do any kind of blue collar job unless I go to the gym, but I'm embarassed to go to one.

I do work with some really cool people though. Me and my manager both talk about cryptos a lot, and he's riding pretty high on ETH after doubling his money with LTC. We have a joke where every single time something goes wrong in the store, the solution is just to kill ourselves. I legitimately enjoy my job, but holy fuck I always just want more.

My misso and I are 24, make about 130k a year between us after tax

She got a brand new car a couple years ago, mines still shit. We bought a house last year.

We pay almost double our minimum monthly payment on our house, pay all bills and maintenance easy.

Have 800 dollars a week between us for food, fuel, smokes, grog and fun.

Also have 100-200 a week spare which I invest into crypto.

We are also trying to have our first kid. I went 10x last year and hope to go 10x again before we have our first child. Once her paternity leave ends, I'll be cashing out an entire years worth of pay and quitting to become a full time crypto dad. (she earns about 25% more than me so it's more economic for me to leave)

That's if I hit my target of course.

There is no way I'm going to be paying to have my infant raised in the care of strangers at a child care each day, just to continue to work and lose half my wage to it.

Living check to check because I'm paying for college myself, majoring in IT security, and semesters are roughly 2k/month. If I didn't have some credit card debt and medical bill debt I'd have ~400 a month left over. My rent is 340 a month because I'm splitting a house with three people. Also renting a shop for 200 a month that I occasionally do mechanical work out of on the side.

Why the fuck would anyone live in London? Literally everyone I know there despises it, everyone is broke because of the ridiculous costs and shit-tier wages. And don't even get me started on property costs, a ridiculous fucking bubble on par with crypto. Millions of pounds for a three bedroom house, Jesus fucking Christ. The economy is shit. The people are shit. The political atmosphere is shit. The weather is shit. The weed is shit. The accent is fucking horrible on the ears. Does London have any saving grace at all? Why not get the fuck out to anywhere else in the world?

Honestly, wouldn't recommend it. It's way too crowded and all the good places are very spread out. I used to live in Kobe before and it was much nicer. Less people and you had all you could ever need within arm's length of Sannomiya station.

If you're ok with crowds and spending most of your life on trains it's ok I guess.

27, I take home about £1600 a month after tax working as an analytical scientist. I'd be on more were we actually employed by the big pharma itself, but we're subcontracted through a third party exactly because it's cheaper for them despite doing the same work. I can't complain though, it looks good on the CV working in R&D and doing 'proper' science and it gets me by, plus being a foot in the door for GSK later with more experience. Got a mortgage on a shoebox apartment for 450 a month, run the car and other expenses with a good bit left to save.

I'd definitely like to earn more, but it's better by a mile than being NEET.

No one is buying in London we are all renting. Its hard to leave when you get used to it. The rest of the country seems backwards in comparison. If im leaving im leaving the UK or to somewhere else in the SE but the latter is still going to involve London.

The wages are not shit tier the UK is shit tier. Almost 99 percent of high paying jobs are in London and this city holds almost every wealthy successful person and industry and this is completely why cost of living is high.

If you want a good career and a good salary you almost certainly have to be here. Most people out in the shit bits will probably not reach my starting salary and if i ever want to earn above 50k then its probably gonna be here. And here ill do it before 30 rather than at 50.
