Recently just started a sales job for a really sketchy company. Really shitty office, extra shitty people working there. It wasn't until I overheard their pay structure about 2 weeks in, that people who are promoted in the company pay a percentage of their check to the person above them that I realized that I work for a pyramid scheme. The objective mainly being, playing on disadvantaged people's emotions of striking it big by working hard. Now my question to you /biz/ is how do I proceed? What facts do I bring to the table to explain to my 'boss' that what they are doing is unethical and possibly illegal? Is their a way to salvage the time ive invested into this company? Or do i just put my 2 weeks in and call it a night?

Might be about time to start wondering how much cash the company has on hand at all times.

i wish i could get the return that bitconnect once offered, but sadly it's an even shittier company. can someone hold me, while i cry in a corner for being so stupid for wasting 3 weeks of my time...

i feel like a fucking idiot right now. Should've seen this as soon as i took part in one of their morning 'meetings'. should i just end it all as their is no hope for me and my ineptitude. I really thought i was smarter than this....

yea, but the fact that i know im working a scam somehow makes it worse. At this point, I just want to be put back into the matrix. it would at least save me the embarrassment of being fooled by these jackals.

yea i am, but i feel like i couldve wasted way more time doing this had i not caught the scheme in the first place, really demoralized than anything. Wanted to work sales, they said you would get 30% commission, so i wanted to try it out. Red flags started popping up everywhere, i saw them and started asking more questions. which lead me to the payment structure. I feel like im not as dumb as some of the retards that are currently oblivious to the scam they work under, so there's that...

The whole purpose of employing people is to earn more money from their efforts than you pay them.
What the fuck did you expect you failed NEET retard. If you need money and can't hustle just keep collecting your payslip and work on a side hustle.

Yes, but they actively lie to you in the interview process stating you will be making 30% commission. You end up with at most 5% and are selling some of the shittiest products ever assembled by man. It's one thing to extract value in every way possible from your employees, but an entirely different thing to act in a fraudulent manner. Its not until later that they begin to divulge the specifics of their payment plan.

-That they literally take no risk from the parent company (smart circle).
- That they act as though they have no fiduciary responsibility.
- That the company basically acts as a front for the main company so they dont have to change their name all the time
- That you will always pay up to the person in front of you on all your commissions

All things you learn after the fact. I mean even in the interview i had my doubts, but kept them to myself as i thought the sales opportunity would make up for any shadiness. This is just on a whole other level though.
